Enemy Palettes

To view these palettes, change RAM value 67F3 to the value of your choice. Be aware that this will cause some misplaced tiles unless you activate the code before the room has fully loaded and after you've exited the previous room.

Enemy Palette 2D

This is an alternate bright version of the palette seen in stage 7-1's first room. Likely changed so that the enemies would blend in better with the dark environment.

Room Palette 1A

Unused Level 7 palette. Would have been used for an interior room using the Level 7 starry tileset.

Room Palette 1E

Early version of the palette used in the cave of stage 6-4. The most significant change is the water color - from bright blue to green. The entire palette is brighter too.

Room Palette 20

Alternate version of palette 01, which is mainly used for space areas with UFO enemies. As with palette 1E, the main difference is that this is brighter than the palette used in the final version.

Room Palette 23

Variation on the airship palette. The airship grayscale colors are the same, but the wooden tiles have changed from blue and yellow to green and brown.

Work in Progress version of the sunset forest palette. The only difference is that the slope tiles are discolored.

Room Palette 2E

Early version of the palette used in the second room of stage 6-5. It has a darker palette in the final version.

There seems to be a pattern here.

Room Palette 30

An unused palette for a tileset that appears in a whopping 3 rooms! No pink flowers in the final version.

Different version of the palette used in stage 5-2's connecting room.

Sunset (autumn?) variation on the red and white building exterior palette.

An at night variation of the forest palette. Not sure why this wasn't used...

Room Palettes 8B-91

The most significant unused palettes, these are used for an unused tileset! The large palette range is used for the Light ability's brightening room effect.

Room Palette A8

Odd choice. Looks like an early morning variant of a mountain palette.

Palette A8 (Unused) Palette 24 (Used)

Room Palette AF

Darker form of the palette used in stage 7-4's Bronto Burt room.

Palette AF (Unused) Palette AC (Used)

Room Palette C1

This has to have been a mistake. In-game, the Warp Star Station for Level 2 uses palette 5A. It's similar but not identical to palette C1, which is grouped with the rest of the Warp Star Station palettes (C0-C6). Palette C1 has a nice transition from dark to light purple, while palette 5A has an odd fade from purple to blue.

This makes more sense. Oops!
