Unused Features

Enemy Names

The game has an unused feature to briefly display the enemy names at the start of a battle. It can be re-enabled with PAR code 7E037E02. It can also be re-enabled by changing address 84/A246 to D0 (Game Genie code 2DC0-CFBD), but it seems this will leave the names up until the screen is refreshed (such as pushing the X button to open the menu).

There's text for unused features, like the church could originally revive party members and cure statuses, in addition to saving.

Debug Features

The value at 7E037E can also enable a couple other debug features:

  • Bit 7 can toggle unknown coordinates in the upper-left corner of the screen.
  • Bit 0 toggles displaying enemy HP at the bottom of the screen.

Unused Dialogue

There's a couple significant bits of cut text, like Gina originally wanted to kill Alex as revenge for another knight that let her mom die.
