Sub-Page
Items There's no such thing as a Patapon game with no unused items! |
Music
butaihensei.vag
Meant to play when you enter the Barracks/Headquarters from the World Map. (Kanji is "部隊編成", means "Unit organization")
Music Samples
Some of Patapon's songs use a midi-like format. Some sound banks contain unused samples.
Gyorochi's Theme
Not much to say about this one, unused chanting.
Somewhat creepy laughter.
Bikkurakotta's Theme
Unknown what this is even here for.
Singing that sounds similar to the flute that plays near the end of the song.
All Themes
Found grouped with all themes.
Sound
Meden
This is meant to be said during the rescue mission. It is unknown why it does not play.
Patapons
Said in Patapolis by Ramuja The Woodcutter.
Said in Patapolis by Geito and Capeta.
This was meant to play instead of the default revive sound whenever a minigame was revived.
Supposedly, classes were supposed to call out their name when picked for a mission at one point in development. The first says "Patapon!" and the second says "Yaripon!".
In-mission reaction. Could have been for when you picked up a certain item.
In-mission reactions. No idea what this could have been used for.
In-mission reaction. Could be a response to being hurt by wind.
To do: This might actually be used. Play the game and fact check. |
In-mission reaction. Could have been used at one point, when units died.
In-mission reactions. Possibly meant for charge attacks.
Zigotons
All of these are unknown in what they could have been used for.
Unused Textures
To do: There's many more unused textures hidden in other textures. |
Retry
In the textures for the "Mission Completed" and "Mission Failed" messages are the textures to a retry option that most likely would have allowed you to retry the level without having to go back to Patapolis. The game doesn't actually let you do that, you must instead use the obelisk again.
Patapon House
In loadinggroup\basesdata\camppartsmodel\cln020 there is a spritesheet and model for a house. This is left over from an earlier version of Patapolis, which used to be a village.
Mine
In loadinggroup\basesdata\camppartsmodel\cln325 a spritesheet and model for a mining minigame can be found. The mining minigame has been removed from the game's executable, and cannot be played.
Meden's Old Staff and Hat Plume
In loadinggroup\basesdata\camppartstex you can see Meden's old staff and the plume of a hat from when the game was still in development.
Patapon Citizens
While this spritesheet was used, almost half of it is never used. You can see Ramuja The Woodcutter, Geito, Capeta, The miner, and... some patapon with a mustache?
