So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

Debug Menu

Elementary, my dear Cactus.
This needs some investigation.
Discuss ideas and findings on the talk page.
Specifically: Investigate this some more
Pinocchio-debug.png

Text for a debug menu can be found at offset 0x1EF7A in the US ROM. Unfortunately, the code for the menu was partially overwritten, though a partial mockup can be made using these codes:

81EC937A
81EC94EF
81EC98EF

This will replace the opening copyright text with part of the menu. The remaining text, corresponding to the actual debug options, consists of:

YOUNG
MIDDLE
OLDEST
LEVEL
LIVES
INVULNERABILITY
OBJECTS
DEBUG INFO
AGE LEVEL

More debug-related text can be found at offset 0x1F2EB in the US ROM. Some code for these functions remains, though it's unknown if it can be made to work properly.
