There is an unused function at 0066EA that freezes the game's internal time and date to the ROM build date at 0EF7B4, instead of fetching it from the Real-Time Clock in the cartridge. This was presumably used for testing. This behavior can be reactivated by replacing the function call at ROM address 005FE8.

Battle Network 4 Leftovers

Since 4.5 was built upon Mega Man Battle Network 4‍ 's engine, there are several leftovers from it; they are:

  • The mugshots for Lan, Glyde and five generic NPCs can be found in the.
  • The Dark Chips. Using the GameShark code 420052D0 6363 00000F00 0001 will add them to the Pack, however they cannot be added to the folder due to it not recognizing them as being there. However, their data still remained and they can be used by GameShark code that changes chip slot 8203A0A0 0XXX (+2h for next slot, 0BB to 0C2) during battle.
    • Duo and Grand Prix Power were completely removed. 8203A0A0 0XXX (137 and 138 respectively) They causes a crash when used during battle.
  • A white placeholder dot object between VideoMan and Bass that was originally used for Duo.
