Sound Test

Shingentheruler-soundtest.png

Hold Start + Select (Japan) or A + B (US) on Controller 1 and reset the game. As soon as it boots up, release the buttons and hold A + B + Right on Controller 2. If done correctly, the sound test should appear after the Hot-B logo.

Cutscene Viewer Codes

To trigger these codes, first hold Start + Select (Japan) or A + B (US) on Controller 1 and reset the game. As soon as it boots up, release the buttons and hold the following on Controller 2. If done correctly, the cutscenes should appear after the Hot-B logo.

(Note: the codes require pressing Left and Right at the same time, something that is normally impossible on official Famicom/NES controllers.)

  • Takeda's Game Over Scene: Left + Right + B
  • Katsuori's Game Over Scene: Left + Right + A + B
  • Takeda's Ending: Left + Right + A
  • Katsuori's Ending: Left + Right + A on Controller 2 and A or B on Controller 1

Ending Easter Egg

After the ending sequence is over and kanji "END" is displayed on the screen, press and hold A + B + Select + Start on Controller 1 and A + B on Controller 2 at the same time. The small chibi warrior will appear at the center of the screen. From now you can only reset the console.
