potential RNG bug in the original Plus! version; needs investigation - Andlabs (talk) 13:59, 21 October 2014 (EDT)

It's the same bug a lot of srand(time(NULL)) based programs are going to have after January 18 2038, namely time() returning a constant -1, and thus the same sequence of numbers everytime. Whether it's a) worth documenting with it not happening for another 24 years or b) where, as more than Spider will exhibit this problem, is for others to decide. Thefanman (talk) 21:39, 21 October 2014 (EDT)
Personally, I don't think it's worth documenting. It's a very common problem and it's likely that loads of systems will have issues, as time() was made with a 32-bit integer in mind. This issue would be a pretty exhausting thing to document. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 21:50, 21 October 2014 (EDT)
