So very stubbly.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion.
Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?

The Lost Mind of Dr. Brain is the third game in the Dr. Brain edutainment series by Sierra On-Line and Bright Star Technologies.

Development-Related Text

According to a few scattered references within the game files, The Lost Mind of Dr. Brain was originally titled Dr. Brain 3: Brain Damage.

Unused Games

DRBRAIN3.exe refers to two incomplete games: "Hydra" and "Rewire". No other info is still in the game about them apart from their names. The corresponding files for the two games are missing from the final project, replaced with Train of Thought and Neural Maze. DRBRAIN3.exe also mentions editors for Hydra and Rewire, which suggests they were removed while individual levels were still being built.

Designer Ward Makielski said that these were prototypes of games that later evolved into Neural Maze.

Also, most references to the "3D Construction" section list it as "CAD Game", which makes sense given its subject matter.

Developer Message

The resource file for the main executable only has two strings:

  • "Silly Comment:"
  • "Why are you looking at the resources in this file?"
