The SNES port of Aero Fighters is one of the rarest standard North American releases, produced in very limited quanitities.

Regional Differences

In the Japanese version there's a second loop once you beat the game once, in the North American version you go back to the title screen instead. Also, each loop had a different ending, which were combined into one for the North American release.

The Japanese version has two bad endings, which were triggered if you let one of the last bosses escape. These were removed for the North American version. However, the translation for these endings can be found inside the ROM of the North American version.

Hidden Character

In the character select screen while holding R, press the buttons Left, Down, Right, X, Y, A, B,Left, Down, Right, Down, X, Y, A, B to enable the hidden character "RABIO", the title character of the Arcade Game Rabio Lepus (released in the US as Rabbit Punch and ported to the TurboGrafx-16 as Rabio Lepus Special), made by the same developer.
