Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is a platformer based on a Saturday morning cartoon based on an old movie. Don't bother with the rotten tomatoes, this game already has plenty of them.

Placeholder Screen

(INSERT ENDING HERE)

Use the Game Genie codes GAKEGLAA, EPKETUAN, and LASAALYE to replace the title screen with this odd placeholder screen.

Hmmm...

Though the screen does have its own associated palette (top row), it is immediately overwritten with the title screen palette when using the aforementioned codes. Aside from a couple of swapped colors, it bears a striking resemblance to the palette used by the PC EGA video adapter (bottom row).

Easter Egg

Aww, how cute.

After losing your last life, before the message "TRY AGAIN TOMATO FACE" and tomato eyes appear on the screen, press and hold Down + Left + A + B. The message "ROB LOVES SANDY" will appear. Rob Harris is one of the game's programmers.

Unused Music

Tracks 5 and 10 in the NSF are short, unused jingles, the latter is a short snippet of the music from the final stage that ends abruptly.
