Castlevania Legends is notable for being one of the few official Castlevania games that was actually removed from the timeline by Iga and made non-canon.

Unused Music

Stored as sound 17. This is the exact same tune that plays when your character dies in Castlevania: The Adventure and Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge.

Titled "Continue". Intended for the game over screen, which is silent in the final game.

Titled "Okada 1" and "Okada E", respectively. These seem to be the exact same song as each other, the only difference being the instrumentation. Unknown purpose.

Regional Differences

• The international version uses passwords instead of a save file.
• The Japanese version features a spooky animated title with a purple thundering cloud effect. The international version shows a poppy title card with less ghoul:
