The Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium was set up in the early 1970s to co-ordinate and provide computer services to schools throughout a single US state, but slightly overshot by creating educational games enjoyed all over the world.
Privatized in 1991, subsumed into The Learning Company in 1995, effectively closed in 1998.
