In 2005, Data Design Interactive, who were just beginning to start publishing the infamous shovelware titles they've become known for, acquired the publisher Metro 3D and rebranded them under their name. During the Wii era, the company also operated Popcorn Arcade, a brand for the budget-priced Wii ports of their shovelware.
