Hope no-one takes offence to this, but I seem to remember the Jaguar wasn't "officially" 64-bit, and it's considered that the Nintendo 64 was the first "official" 64-bit console.
Which is odd, as I seem to remember the console being featured on UK Games Review show "Bad Influence", and they showed that the processor was surrounded by 64 pins...
Anyway, just in the interests of accuracy, can someone who knows more than me confirm or deny the Jaguar's official status?
- It's kind of debatable, but mostly just marketing. The CPU and GPU were 32-bit, but it has 64-bit co-processors. It would be less misleading to describe it as 32-bit, but 64-bit is not technically incorrect. Basically, they Clinton'd it. - Vague Rant 09:26, 30 October 2012 (EDT)
