Debug Mode

Press L, R, L, R, Y, B, Y, X, Select, Start on controller 2 at the title screen to activate a few debug features on controller 2.

Press B while walking around to bring up this display, which shows the current map number, coordinates (in both pixels and tiles), and some other information.

Press Select while walking around to bring up a combination flag editor and sound test.

Map Select

Press Y while walking around to bring up a map select. Use the D-Pad to select a map and press A to go there.

Battle Select

Press Start while walking around to bring up a battle select. Use the D-Pad to select a battle and press A to start it.

Message Viewer

Press A while walking around to bring up a message viewer. Use the D-Pad to select a message and press A to view it.

Window Color Editor

Press L while walking around to bring up a window color editor, which allows the background color of the windows to be edited using the D-Pad.

Speed Up Movement

Press X while walking around to speed up the player's movements.
