Demolition Racer is a vehicular combat racing video game for the PS1 and PC that combines destruction and driving tactics in a fast-paced racing environment, very similar to the Destruction Derby series. The PC version has slightly better in-game graphics, and included varied weather and times of day.

Unused Graphics
- All releases contain some unused graphics in pres.
- Some unknown loading screens.
- Unused legalpal.tim legal screen for European version, which was based on US demo legal screen.
- Earlier version of Pitbull Speedway loading screen with "loading..." text on it.
- Only European version has kph.tim in same directory. Looks like this release might get ability to change from imperial to metric systems, but it wasn't made.
Demo Leftovers
- Demo information screens from frontend/loading. On the left counterparts from US demo, on the right - counterparts from EU demo (which also presented in US and EU releases).
US demo screen graphics also duplicated in pres in all releases.
Test Drive 5 Leftover
This unused "LOADING.." text from Test Drive 5 can be found in the same file as the leftover demo files, because Demolition Racer was built on the same engine as the Test Drive games, so it might be a sign of engine lineage.
Unused Videos
- The US release contains unused INFLOGO.STR, which is another version of TATOU.STR. Both videos shows same logo, but unused counterpart has glitches, lower audio quality and resolution (320x208 instead of 320x240).
- Another interesting detail, that INFLOGO.STR was created at June 30, 1999, so TATOU.STR from December 15, 1998 was older.

Dummy File
- The US version contains dummy file called _ZYXWVUT.ZYX, which has size ~ 27 MB and was created at December 31, 1995. When opened in HEX editor, it's looks like combination of 00 and FF. Same file also exists in US version of Test Drive 4,5 and 6, due to same developers.
- The European version used another dummy file: DUMMY.DA, which has size ~ 31 MB and consists only of zeros.
Regional Differences
PlayStation US vs Europe
- DD.DAT contains different cd.tim in pres directory. The US version had an oval center spindle hole. when Europe version had fixed image with round hole. Also here stored another version of legal.tim, but this file hasn't any noticeable changes in different regional revisions.

- Also those regional revisions have different movplay.exe (from movplay directory, and also European release has additional movplayerp.exe), static.vrm (from frontend), game.bin and pres.bin
