Hmmm...
To do:
  • Document the Gekkan Nintendo demo of the game.
  • Find more unused content.
  • Find what the binary files (models) can be opened with or what they were compressed with.

Disney's Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse is a point-and-click adventure game that was originally going to be a platformer when it was announced at Nintendo SpaceWorld 2001. In the end, it was completely different to what was first announced.

One night, a mischievous ghost traps Mickey's spirit in a trippy mansion/castle, complete with magic portals and a dungeon! Only by gathering mirror shards will Mickey be able to return to the Twilight Realm of his world.

Font

Hmmm...
To do:
Are there any leftover debugging features that might use this font?

DMMSMM-Font.png

A font that may have been used for debugging, as it isn't used anywhere in the game. It is stored in the system folder.

Cursor

DMMSMM-Early cursor.png

A cursor. It is completely different from the final version.

DMMSMM-Early title.png

An early version of the title screen, found in the system folder, possibly from a point in development before the game's title was finalized. The graphics are very different from the final version.

E3 Leftovers

A few leftovers from the E3 demo remain in the final version's files, inside the /Mickey/e3 folder.

E3 time expired title

This would show up when the player had reached the play time limit.

E3 Final
E3 Title Mickey DMMSMM-Mickeygraphic.pngDMMSMM-MirrorGraphic.png

The title graphic used at E3. Differences from the final version:

  • Mickey is in a different pose.
  • Mickey is inside the mirror instead of standing in front of it.
  • The toy train seen in the final version's background is missing.

Also, the background for E3 is different. The plane and rainbows seen in the E3 title were removed and replaced with a night sky in the final version. The plane also has an unused 3 frame animation.
