TextIcon.png This game has unused text.

A demo disc sent out to retailers containing demos for Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO, Bomberman Generation, and Lost Kingdoms, as well as six trailers and three pieces of news on the news bulletin.

news.txt

news.txt contains a copy of the first piece of news relating to the scheduling of the Dairantou Smash Brothers DX Orchestra Concert. Since the news bulletin already contains this excerpt, this standalone copy goes unused.

Sure enough, cube.tpl is present here as well.

There a few unused graphics for the news section.

  • The first two are for a planned Super Mario Sunshine section.
  • The second is relating to Doubutsu no Mori+ e-Reader cards.
  • The last is a copy of the 3rd news image, except it is smaller and has a white border to the right side.

There is also a copy of the first news graphic, NewsImage_01.tpl, under the name NewsImage_04.tpl. The only thing that was changed was the numerical position, even though there's only three news sections.

February 2002 Demo Disc Banner

All the trailers encrypted in the TGC format hold a banner for a February 2002 Demo disc as a placeholder.

Alternate Background

An alternate unused background exists. Compared to the used version, it lacks a GameCube controller and has a grey filter. Curiously, the alternate background appears to be the same stock photograph used in GameCube Service Disc v1.0/03.
