Gran Turismo (PlayStation Portable)/Cars
This is a sub-page of Gran Turismo (PlayStation Portable).
Even though Gran Turismo on PSP aims to bring almost every car from the PlayStation 2 era of the series, not all of the cars from there appears on the PSP game.

Unused Car Sets
This game uses XML files to list what cars available at the dealership menu, in "name-of-dealer000.xml" format. Within the game's files, there are three unused dealer car sets. Attempting to load them will not display any cars: the game balloon will display "no_such_car" text, but there will be slots for each of the cars meant to be available for that dealership.

These could be leftovers from the Gamescom 2009 version of the game, where all three dealerships could be seen in the car selection screen.

All the listed cars above were cars that were in previously in Gran Turismo 4, with the Hyundai Click was exclusive to the Korean version of Gran Turismo 4, but was added to Gran Turismo 6 together with the Auto Union V16 Type C Streamliner '37, while both the Hyundai Verna Rally Car `01 and Nissan 350Z 35th Anniversary (Z33) '05 are alternate names for the Hyundai Accent Rally Car '01 (used in the Korean version of GTC and GT4) and Nissan 350Z Gran Turismo 4 Limited Edition (Z33) '05, respectively. There are also noticeably inconsistent year formatting with some of these cars, where some cars use apostrophe and others use grave accent, like they do in GT4.
The 2005 MX-5 was the concept model featured in the Gran Turismo 4: Mazda MX-5 Edition, a cut-down version of GT4 where the NC Roadster/Miata made its only standard car appearance. The car was dropped in later releases in favor of the 2007 production model. This car was probably removed from this game as it lacked a closed top roof model.
There are also a lot of cars leftovers that came from the PS3-era games, though some of these cars are already present in this game, as they were developed in parallel:

Some notes regarding the list above:
- The DOME S102 '08 is an unique car "seen" only in one episode of Japanese automotive show Best MOTORing, even if the camera is on the bumpers.
- Both Ferrari F1 entries have MASSA and RAIKKONEN in their name, as it was the case in GT5P's files. The car number choice was determined by car color in the retail games, although only the #6 car appears in GTPSP.
- Both MINI Cooper-S '06 and Shelby Cobra 427 '67 are actually unused, as the Mini has only the 2005 and 2007 models, while Shelby Cobra used only the 1966 models.
- The Nissan XANAVI NISMO Z '06 also originated from Gran Turismo HD, although this time it is supplemented with additional Super GT cars in Honda RAYBRIG NSX '06, Honda TAKATA DOME NSX '06, Nissan XANAVI NISMO GT-R '08, and Toyota Castrol Tom's Supra '97; the Lexus SC430 cars, Toyota YellowHat YMS Supra '05, and the GT300 cars are noticeably missing. There is also no "(SUPER GT)" or "(JGTC)" suffix on the car names, closer to naming conventions used in Gran Turismo 6.
- Four NASCAR vehicles (labeled NASCAR DEMO Type A, NASCAR DEMO Type B, NASCAR DEMO Type C, and NASCAR DEMO Type D) are likely the 2009 NASCAR models (the "Car of Tomorrow" with the widely-derided rear wings) that appeared in the Gran Turismo 5 teaser trailer included at the end of this game's credits, before being replaced with 2010 cars.
- Despite there are only four of these vehicles listed, there are six NASCAR drivers featured on early GT5 trailers that feature the 2009 Car of Tomorrow models (Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Tony Stewart, Denny Hamlin, and Michael Waltrip); Waltrip was the only driver not to appear in Gran Turismo 5, as he did not run the whole 2010 Sprint Cup Series season due to his retirement from the sport.

These are mostly leftovers from GT4, but some of them like Autobianchi or Holden can be seen in 2009 Gamescom videos. However, Kawasaki, Ducati, and the other motorcycle manufacturers (including Suzuka 8 Hours-specific manufacturers, as they are stored differently from regular motorcycles) are also mentioned, probably Tourist Trophy leftovers. In addition, Art Morrison is also mentioned, as their GT Award-winning Corvette is also mentioned with PS3 car list above.

Some notes regarding these logos:
- DRS, Ford Racing, Mazdaspeed, Mopar, Ralliart, STI, and Suzuki Sport are names assigned to tuning shops of Daihatsu, Ford, Mazda, Dodge, Mitsubishi, Subaru, and Suzuki, respectively in Gran Turismo 4.
- Although Ford Australia has no manufacturer text string, it does have a logo, although it is practically a copy of the main Ford logo. It is worth noting that the sole Ford Australia branded car in Gran Turismo series, the 2000 Ford Falcon XR8 is in this game, but grouped with other Ford cars rather than separated from their American/European offerings.
Unused Car Textures
One of the texture files for the Ferrari F2007 includes the controversial barcodes that is commonly associated with a certain cigarette brand that sponsored Ferrari at that time. These were probably left unused to avoid controversy pertaining to the inclusion of the barcode. (During the 2010 season, Ferrari started to remove the barcode from their Formula One cars when this issue was actually brought up). This could also be related with the _bc variants of F2007s in GT5P, which were used only in special versions of the game for Ferrari hospitality suites during Formula One races in the 2007/2008 season.
Curiously, there is also an uncensored logo for Martini, a brand of alcoholic beverage (usually associated with Lancia Delta rally cars; both the S4 Group B and HF Integrale Group A are in the game with the Martini sponsorships censored), which is a minor Ferrari sponsor at that time, and the logo in question is actually used! The PS3 Premium version of the car in GT5 omitted the Martini logo, with the Standard version also removing the Martini logo from GT5 update 2.15 onwards.
Unused Car Colors
GT4 Special Colors
All Special Color variations from Gran Turismo 4 appear here, but they do not appear in the color list in the car purchase screen. With no way to obtain them normally, these special color models end up unused. Some of these cars have thumbnails for the special colors, although some are missing.
Mazda RX-8 Concept (Type-II) '01
In this and (possibly as a consequence) PS3-era games, RX-8 Yellow is the only available color for this car. The car, originally a prize for completing the International B License with at least all-silver or higher in Gran Turismo 4, only spawns in that color when obtained in that game's GT Mode. However, the other colors for this car, available normally in Gran Turismo Concept and Gran Turismo 4's Arcade Mode, are still in the game, but also unobtainable like the GT4 Special Colors above.
