Cheats

Hmmm...
To do:
Figure out what lanevictim and crashvictim do, if anything.

Found in 0x26714 onwards, these are actual cheats that you can enter in the Unlock Car dialog box. (You must select a registered driver name before the dialog box can be used.)

Code Effect
upsidedown Causes the track to appear upside-down.

replay Enables a replay mode, possibly intended for debugging. Replays can be saved and loaded, in the .jrf format.

invisibletrack Makes the track appear invisible.

inviciblecar Prevents the player car from spinning out, either due to collision by other cars, printers blocking the track, or due to speeding in twisty sections of the track.
dancingcar Causes opponent cars to spin out all the time.
backdoor Enables a debug mode, where some debug/cheat keys can be used. The following number keys (above the letters) can be used:
  • 1: Enables/disables a wooden floor. Doesn't look good, though.

  • 2: Disables/enables the frame limiter.
  • 3: Seems to disable the sound, irrespective of the sound status in the game's sidebar.
  • 4: Adds turbo boost discs.
  • 5: Same effect as "upsidedown".
  • 6: Same effect as "invinsibletrack".
  • 7 and 8: Plays the crashing sound (Lane Victim?). Pressing 9 instead plays it multiple times (Crash Victim?).
  • 0: Displays a set of debug information.

lanevictim Doesn't appear to do anything.
crashvictim Doesn't appear to do anything.
nojamcar Opponent cars won't move from the starting line.
givemeallcars Unlocks all the secret cars. Since the cars were originally only unlockable by setting a qualifying time that requires the user to obtain a code online, and that the competition related to the game has long ended, this code is now the only way to unlock all the secret cars.
