Hamelin no Violin Hiki is a game about a man, a girl, and a bird, traveling the land and committing gratuitous acts of violins.

Chapter select

At some point during the game's development, there was a button code which allowed the player to select the starting chapter and area. The button code seems to have been disabled, though, as the code which checks for it is apparently never called. However, the chapter select can still be accessed by using the Pro Action Replay code 80CEDA00 and then starting the game.

"Set mode enable" probably refers to the debug menu (see below), while the numbers at the bottom of the screen are most likely the date and time the ROM was built.

Selecting a chapter leads to this screen, which presumably lets the player choose a specific area within the selected chapter. However, none of the options actually seem to work, leading to glitched levels where the player dies immediately.

Pressing X at the area select screen leads to this debug menu, which allows various parameters of the game to be modified.
