This is a sub-page of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Windows, Mac OS Classic, Mac OS X).

Hmmm...
To do:
There are probably more scattered through the files. The game is not consistent about the location of its textures. Also document which texture archives these can be found in.

Tabs used for various menu selections. In order, they are: Main, Report, Folio, Chapter, Save. The Report Card was consolidated to the main pause menu. In the final game, the chapter select is a debug feature and you can only save at specific checkpoints.

Report Card
Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Report-Card.png Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Report-Sand.png
An unused Report Card menu. It's accompanied by House Point status bars for each house. The green question mark counter is for how many secret areas the player has found. This used to be a key aspect of gameplay at one point. The idea, however, was fully implemented in the sequel.

House Cup Sand
Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-House-Cup-Purple.png
Purple sand, not used by any of the houses.

Folio Magi Arrows
Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Folio-Arrow-Left.png Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Folio-Arrow-Right.png

Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Combo-List-Large.png
Two graphics labelled as "combolist" small and large. Card combinations are used as attacks in other versions of the game, but are not seen at all in this version.

Spell Icons
Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Menu-Spell-Flintifors.png Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Menu-Spell-Avifors.png Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Menu-Spell-Verdimillious.png Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Menu-Spell-Alohomora.png Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Menu-Spell-Leviosa.png Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Menu-GreenLeaf.png Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Menu-Spell-Default.png
Unused spell icons. These are from when the game required you to open a menu and manually select which spell you wanted to use. In order, they are: Flintifors, Avifors, Verdimillious, Alohomora, Wingardium Leviosa, "GreenLeaf", and "Trans". Trans stands for Transfiguration. This icon also goes by the name "Ecto" and "Default". Ecto may be an early name for the Skurge spell that later appears in Chamber of Secrets, where it removes Ectoplasm, or unused Ectomatic spell that can only be accessed with debug mode. "GreenLeaf" is defined as the main icon in a script named FireCrackerIcon.

HUD Elements

Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Frog-Icon.png
An icon for a chocolate frog, suggesting they could be held for later use.

Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Potion-Meter-Half.png Harry-Potter-Sorcerer-Windows-Potion-Meter-Full.png

Astrology was a prominent theme in the novels, and many elements were subsequently cut to better suit the film. The astronomy tower is retained in other versions of the game.

2001 E3 Demo

Remnants of an E3 demo are scattered throughout the game's files. The cut Privet Drive level is actually from this demo. There are also some E3 specific scripts for characters, which can be found on the Scripts sub-page.

Main Menu
The entire game had a different title screen.

Unreal Leftovers

FractalFX.utx
This archive contains graphics that are very out of place for a Harry Potter game. Sorcerer's Stone was built using the original Unreal Engine, and this leftover file was normally included in its collection of assets.
