LeapPad Explorer/Test Mode

This is a sub-page of LeapPad Explorer.
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article?
This page or section needs more images. There's a whole lotta words here, but not enough pictures. Please fix this.
To do: Actually document this feature and get screenshots. (the latter being impossible because there is no LeapPad emulator/debugger yet.)
There is a test mode that can be accessed by holding down both volume buttons (Volume Up and Volume Down) while booting the LeapPad. Let go when you see the words "Test Mode" appear on screen (after the LeapFrog sound is heard). It will then proceed to the test menu. The menu itself has a rather unusual control style: you need to press certain buttons (or button combinations) to select an item, instead of the ususal cursor-and-ok-button control style found in most test menus. The odd control style is probably because, while the LeapPad does have a D-pad, it lacks an "enter" or "ok" button (although the Home button could work just as well for this purpose.)
