Minecraft: New Nintendo 3DS Edition is a port heavily modified fork of the Bedrock version of Minecraft designed for the New Nintendo 3DS...hence the name. This version of Minecraft in particular is based on a very outdated version of Bedrock (specifically Pocket Edition Alpha 0.15.4), so some of the unused content there is present here as well.

Old Pocket Edition Leftovers

Glowing Obsidian

Textures for glowing obsidian, a block which was also dummied out of Pocket Edition Alpha 0.15.4, exist within the game's files.

Nether Reactor Core

Textures for the nether reactor core, a block which was also dummied out of Pocket Edition Alpha 0.15.4, exist within the game's files.

Stonecutter

Like in Pocket Edition, the original stonecutter is obtainable in creative mode only and has no functionality whatsoever.

Unused Pocket Edition Textures

info update

The default texture pack contains references to the two "info update" unused blocks from Pocket Edition. Their texture is also included in all texture packs.

reserved6

The default texture pack contains references to reserved6, an unused block in Pocket Edition, which is set to have the info update block texture.

Aquatic Update Items and Blocks

In the files there are some textures with names of blocks from the aquatic update like coral, which means the aquatic update could have come to this edition, but it did not.

Unused Skin Pack

The game's files contain all of the skin packs that were in Pocket Edition Alpha 0.15.4, including the Minecraft: Story Mode skin pack, which is not available in this version of the game.

Unused Textures

As in Pocket Edition Alpha 0.15.4, the default Minecraft texture pack contains some textures for things that were not in the game yet (such as written books), and the City and Plastic texture packs have even more (such as armor stands).
