Mortadelo y Filemón: El sulfato atómico is the first and one of the most popular graphical adventure games based on the Spanish comic characters Mortadelo and Filemon.

Unused Development-Related Graphics

Graphic files 96.alg, 97.alg, and 99.alg contain some development related graphics containing some graphic stuff from Drascula: The Vampire Strikes Back (the graphical adventure game Alcachofa Soft made prior to this one) and early low-resolution models for Mortadelo:

Mortadelo sulfato 96.alg.png
In 96.alg, we have some polygons with unknown purpose, a low resolution charset, and Drascula.

Mortadelo sulfato 97.alg.png
In 97.alg, polygons lose their colors, the faces for Drascula have changed, and now we have low-res unused Mortadelo animations in front of the Drascula originals and the same flipped in front of the polygons.

Mortadelo sulfato 99.alg.png
In 99.alg, polygons have color again. Now, we have some new Drascula animations in front of the Mortadelo ones, and some text from Drascula appear in red and blue. Some final game icons can be seen here (look, catch, open, close, talk, move), but the first icon we see used for walking was changed to a white cross in final game (as we can see in the intro image).

Unused Items

There are some dummy items which names are Spanish numbers (most are incorrectly written) and uses the cable texture from the second level when we try to start the car. They appear in-game sometimes due to a glitch, and we can't do anything with them. Any time the player tries to use one of them, the player's character will say that it's an incorrect action.

These dummy items are:

veintidos
veintitres
vientreicuatro
revienteicinco
veintiseis
veintisiente
vientoiocho
ventinueve
treinta
treintayuno
treintaydos

Unused Subtitles

Hmmm...
To do:
Check if subtitles can be enabled somehow.

There are texts for all the sentences said by the characters in the sound files. All these texts are totally unused, as the game has no subtitles options.
