Diorama of the temple in Kichijoji.
Interact Description
A temple in Kichijoji. The actual Kichijoji Temple is not located in Kichijoji, but in Komagome.

Group Interactions

Ann Takamaki/Makoto Niijima
Ann: I've always wondered... How do those patterns in the sand always look so perfect?

Makoto: Supposedly, a monk comes in every morning to rake the gravel.

Ann: A monk!? Here I thought the garden was just there to look pretty.

Makoto: I'm not very educated on this either, but there's a reason they need to keep it tidy.

Maybe it's part of their spiritual training.

Ann: Spiritual training, huh... That sounds so exciting!

Ryuji Sakamoto/Haru Okumura
Haru: This is... Shinmyoji, correct? It has quite a unique atmosphere.

Observing the garden is so calming...

Ryuji: Tell me about it. This place is our leader's favorite temple to go to.

Haru: Huh!? He comes here enough to have a favorite...?

He sure visits a lot of places, doesn't he? You never know where you might find him...

Ryuji: Right? That guy knows Tokyo better than I do.

Chihaya Mifune/Ichiko Ohya
Ohya: Aren't temples great? I always have to check 'em out whenever I see one on my travels.

Chihaya: Huh... Are they that rare?

I guess living with one in the city, I never thought much of it...

Ohya: It's not that it's rare—more that it's a window into the cultural flavor of the place. Shrines are great, too!

Most shrines have a guardian dogs, but depending on the area, it could be something like a mouse or even a cow.

Chihaya: Hmm... I don't think I understand, but I'm glad you're having fun.

Morgana/Yusuke Kitagawa
Yusuke: The simplification of a rock garden is the epitome of symbolism...

The flow of water is expressed by ripples in the sand. What is this scenery trying to tell me...?

It's simply beautiful!

Morgana: Oh boy, here we go again. He'll be lost in his own world for a while...

Ryuji Sakamoto/Sumire Yoshizawa
Sumire: I love the atmosphere here. Maybe I should stop by to relax before a meet.

Ryuji: Oh, I getcha. Almost like it's for good luck, yeah?

If you're gonna be competin', you gotta do everything you can to get in the zone!

Sumire: That's exactly it! I'm glad you can relate.

Palace Maker Description
Replica of the Skytree in Oshiage.
Interact Description
A tower in Asakusa that's often struck by lightning. An ammeter measures the electrical currents above the observation deck.

Group Interactions

Yusuke Kitagawa/Sumire Yoshizawa/Yuki Mishima
Yusuke: The Skytree...

The view from above is fascinating. The construction itself, equally so...

Its form is simultaneously traditional and innovative. This tower is true art!

Sumire: I heard that its subtle curves were based on the curvature of a katana.

You can really feel the connection to cultural traditions. I think that's wonderful.

Yusuke: Ah! You understand...!

Well then, would you like to discuss the beauty of curves with me further?

Mishima: Yikes! Don't listen to this pervert!

Yusuke: Who are you calling a pervert!?

Ann Takamaki/Futaba Sakura/Sojiro Sakura
Futaba: I heard you guys went on an adventure to the Skytree while I was recovering...

You're so mean, Sojiro. You could have waited till I got better.

Sojiro: Sorry about that. I didn't think you'd care about this sorta thing.

Ann: I know! Why don't we all go together next time? We can tackle this quest as a party!

Futaba: Whoa! Now you're speakin' my language!

Sojiro! As atonement, you'll be the one to take us there!

Sojiro: I have to go too!?

...Yeah, yeah, okay.

Chihaya Mifune/Ichiko Ohya
Chihaya: I hear the real Skytree is over six hundred meters tall.

It's as if it is reaching for the heavens. You can see the whole city from up there.

Ohya: I've been to the top before. It certainly is something.

Maybe I'll be able to go again when I finish my current assignment...

Chihaya: Huh!? That melancholy look in your eyes...

I sense a bittersweet memory of love! Am I right? Tell me I'm right!

Ohya: Wha—!? Calm down! I don't accept interviews without an appointment!

Tae Takemi/Toranosuke Yoshida
Yoshida: When I was young, I could never have imagined that this country would be able to build a tower of this magnitude.

I wonder what else will change by the time the next generation grows up.

Takemi: Isn't it your job to make sure it keeps changing for the better, Mr. Politician?

Yoshida: Ah, yes... That's exactly right.

Ryuji Sakamoto/Morgana/Makoto Niijima
Ryuji: We came here in the afternoon last time, but don't you guys think it'd be way cooler at night?

Makoto: Definitely. The view of the city lights after sundown is unlike anything else.

Morgana: City lights... That does sound pretty good.

Oh! Maybe if I went there with Lady Ann at night...!

Mewhehehee...

Ryuji: Where the hell is his mind goin'?

Makoto: Let's just... leave him be.
