Filler Text

For whatever reason, three Japanese folk tales are included as filler text in the ROM. These aren't in the DECO Cassette version, only the stand-alone game. They have been deliberately altered from the original stories by whomever put these in the game, in various humorous ways.

At D107: 瘤取り爺さん, "The Old Man's Lump Removed"

The last line of this is a pun in that it can be read as both, "an old man with a lump" or "an old man that was fat":

*** PEACH BOY ***
Once upon a time, in a certain place, there lived
an old man and his wife. One day, the old man
went to the mountains to gather firewood while
his wife went to the river to do laundry. As
she was doing so, she saw a big peach flow down from
upstream. She carried it home with her, and her
husband carved it in two with a kitchen knife.
After doing so, a blood-covered Peach Boy who
had been completely split in two appeared.
... And they all lived happily ever after. ***
