This is a sub-page of Proto:Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Windows, Mac OS Classic, Mac OS X).

All these dialog clips are from the proto's Alldialog.uax file. These were also deleted in the final game's Alldialog.uax file.

Harry

These lines suggest having to sneak into Snape's "cupboard" to get the Bicorn horn, Harry being annoyed, Harry and Ron confronting Lockhart like in the source material plus them finding a snake skin in the Chamber, and Harry & Ron being caught by Professor Snape after Adv1Willow.

Narrator

After beating the basilisk the narrator from Sorcerer's Stone was originally going to sum the story up instead of Harry, Ron and Hermione talking to Dumbledore. The Chamber of Secrets narrator was also originally going to say the bean bonus room is permanently open and by the file name was going to be used in the cutscene before going to the house point ceremony. This meant the player would originally be able to go into the bean bonus room as many times as they wanted before going to the house point ceremony or before/after finishing off loose ends.

Professor Lockhart

These lines suggest that there were originally going to be five spell learning rounds instead of three and in later rounds "magic points" would have been added. The player would have had to press the jump key to try and hit these magic points. Learning Spongify would have been a bit similar to spell learning in Sorcerer's Stone and Rictusempra but would have included a few things not seen during spell learning lessons up to this point.

This line suggests that ectoplasm could have also been used to trap enemies instead of just getting rid of it.
