Beta 1.9, unofficially titled The Lost Update due to not being included in the launcher are a set of 6 pre-release builds of the official 1.0 release of Minecraft. The reason for its naming scheme being changed was so that Mojang could tie the official release in with Minecon 2011, but this had happened after several development versions were released and are thusly included here for consistency.
