Perfect Dark XBLA Build 0033 Debug Menu Options.png

An XBLA debug build, apparently built 3rd December 2009 based on the build number 09.12.03.0033, which was leaked from XePartnerNet a few weeks before the final version. It does not have any big differences, but has several funny glitches, which were fixed in the final version. Debug menu is available in settings, but it's very different from the debug menus seen in the old NTSC and PAL betas.

4J Debug Menu

Go to Settings/4J Debug Menu. The menu is one big list of checkboxes (but some functions are ignoring checked/unchecked state).

Hmmm...
To do:
Look at what Unlock Everything unlocks, but i think it unlocks only those stuff I listed. Also confirm Character-perspective view does not do anything and document better some options.

Force bright rendering. Show AI Cover points. Show AI Details Show player position. Free Camera (Awesome screenshot?)Tile Display mode (bit 0).Pad Display mode (bit 1).

  • Unlock everything - Unlocks all solo missions and completes them on all three difficulties. Also unlocks special assigments, but does not complete them. Also unlocks almost everything except achievments, leaderboard crowns and Crackdown 2/PDZ stuff.
  • Display all crowns - Should show all leaderboard crowns, but it's broken and does not do anything.
  • Display safe area - Displays common TV safe area.
  • Disable hud for screenshots - Hides HUD (similar to Carrington Institure, where you also have a disabled HUD).
  • Reset Save to default - Deletes save.
  • ENGLISH, GERMAN, FRENCH, SPANISH, ITALIAN, JAPANESE - Forces game to switch language. Useful when playing Perfect Dark in Xenia (Xbox 360 emulator).
  • Award all crowns - Awards all leaderboard crowns, and it isn't broken.
  • Award all Achievements. - Instantly awards all achievements.
  • Wipe all Achievements. - Does not do anything even on RGLoader.
  • Set level as complete by exit. - Similar to set complete in the PAL beta, this one sets the current mission as complete even if objectives aren't completed.
  • Set gamertags to 15 W chars. - Sets all players and simulants gamertags to 15 W. Likely was to test the maximum width of various UI boxes to see if names clip.
  • Fake the Crackdown2/PDZ save presence. - Unlocks all content, which is unlocked when the game detects a save of those games even if you don't have those games.
  • Disable AI Brains. - Does not do anything (AI still works).
  • Force bright rendering. - It's fullbright, but does some weird stuff like changing part of the UI to gray. Also cannot be turned off (you must restart the game).
  • Show AI cover points. - Shows all points, where AI can cover. Cannot be turned off.
  • Show AI details. - Very similar to chr stats in the NTSC beta, this one shows various AI info. Also cannot be turned off without restarting the game.
  • Fast player movement. - Makes the player move really fast. Cannot be turned off.
  • Free camera. - One of the most interesting debug options, this one allows you to explore almost everything in the world. You can control rotation and go forward/backwards with Left Stick and control elevation with Right stick. You can also strafe and look up and down with the D-Pad. Cancel with X button. Unfortunately, you cannot teleport player to yourself.
  • Character-perspective view. - Does not do anything.
  • Show player position. - Good old player position overlay. Cannot be turned off.
  • Pad display mode (bit 0). - Shows something, which looks like AI paths.
  • Pad display mode (bit 1). - Shows something, which looks like AI paths with additional info (some unknown numbers).
  • Tile display mode (bit 0). - Displays collision using weird colored triangles.
  • Tile display mode (bit 1). - Displays collision using blue triangles.

  • Characters in How to Play/Key Personnel always slide out of screen.
Picked up floating reaper.
Different Product Identification Screen (second and third lines are different).
Broken sentry gun model.
