This is the very first functional version of the XMB, in a incredibly early state. Unlike later XMBs, you can only use the settings in this prototype.

Differences

• The settings only contains 3 options (Display Settings, Sound Settings, and Network Settings), pitful compared to the final’s 14.
• The background was originally just a simple blue gradient background.
• The icons were slightly different, having a mild gradient on them.
• No setting name is displayed when in a setting in the top-left.

Video Output Settings Differences

• Component and D-Terminal have not been grouped.
• No picture is displayed when hovering over the options.
• Instead of using a / when groups are used, the word ‘or’ is used.
• The list of connecters is more centred, instead of being near the top.
• The warning on the bottom of the screen says “If a blank screen has been displayed for more than 15 seconds,” instead of 30 seconds.
