This is a sub-page of Proto:Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
| This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |
| To do: Need moves checked for every single battle here. We need to get on full script mines ASAP. Also need amount of money and lack of items given to the player after every battle detailed. |
Even though the game is unfinished, many Trainers can still be fought. This page will compare their teams to the final release of the game. If they're not here, that means their teams are the same.
Contents

| Pokémon Trainer | Rival | Pidgey |
Lv. 3 | Pikachu |
Lv. 6 | - | - | - | - | - | - | - | - | - Starter Pokémon is exactly 1 level lower than in the final build. | |
Gym Leaders
- Brock's fight is completely skipped in this build. When you approach him to battle, you automatically get his Gym Badge and don't fight him.
- The game appears to crash whenever Misty gives you her Gym Badge, but her team is otherwise the same.
Elite Four
- Beating Lance appears to crash the game.
- Must use the script debug menu to access the Champion Battle. (Script -- > DebugScriptCall -- > SCRID_DEBUG_EVENT_JUMP -- > ev8200 Champion Battle)
- When using the debug menu to fight your Rival, it displays Pokemon League (BLUE) alongside it's Japanese text. Almost certainly a placeholder, but it's possible that Blue could have still been the Champion for much of development.
Rematches
- Koga is missing from his Gym, meaning he is unable to be rematched.
- Blue is also missing, but is instead located out of bounds to the left of the Gym's entrance.
Special Trainers
- Mina does not have a team programmed for a battle pre-Hall of Fame. You can still fight her at any time but she uses an usually high-levelled team, suggesting that she was initially just a post-game easter egg until very late in development.
- She can also be battled indefinitely as opposed to once-per-day like in the final.
