This is a sub-page of Proto:SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox).
A demo of the game can be found on PlayStation 2 Kiosk Demo Disc 2.12. While most of the files post-date the final release, a few are from June 25th, 2003.

Noticeable differences include:
- The compression of the images is much more noticeable than in the final.
- The boss hit counter for Robo-Sandy is using a completely different design, resembling the Krusty Krab tables.
- White steam is coming from the drain in the Robo-Patrick fight, something that doesn't happen in the final. Additionally, Robo-Patrick himself seems to be using his unused idle animation.
- The Robo-SpongeBob fight preview uses an image from the unused phase.
- While it could be a result of the terrible compression, the lighting in Kelp Forest as a whole looks different.
- The levels of the second section of the hub, specifically Sand Mountain, Rock Bottom and the Mermalair, are absent.
