This page details one or more prototype versions of Yooka-Laylee (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux).
The Toybox is a "pre-alpha" build of Yooka-Laylee released on July 28, 2016. This build was created separate from the final game to give Kickstarter backers a chance to test out the game and give feedback to the developers.

A placeholder talking head sprite for Dr. Quack. The finalized sprite was taken from a leftover sprite sheet for Dr. Quack which can be seen below.
A set of unused collectible items, specifically a Casino Chip, a Play Token, and a cute little rotating grey cube that was probably used for testing. As a small side note: at the time that this demo was released, it was not known what the Casino Chip actually was.
A Wii U logo. Since the Wii U version of Yooka-Laylee was cancelled, this logo was never used in any version of the game due to the discontinuation of the console about 3 months earlier.
Talking Heads
These are all unused sprite sheets for talking head animations. These characters either never appear or never speak in Toybox. The Yooka and Laylee sprites can be seen in a pre-release trailer.
