Source Code

Due to a mastering error, source code and other related assets were accidentally pulled from Alfa System's development machine and were used as the game's padding file. The included files can be found by extracting the code track from the game and searching through the contents for LZH archives. While the source code is mostly complete, some files are corrupted due to hard drive fragmentation of the development machine. An archive of what could be salvaged from the code track padding can be found here:

Debug Menu

This game has a test menu that can be accessed by doing the following steps:

  1. Upon entering the CD-ROM² start screen, press Run and immediately after hold Select+Run for around 10 seconds.
  2. While still holding Select + Run, press 2 and then 1 to start the game.
  3. Reset the console by holding Select + Run. Afterwards, access the backup RAM save screen by pressing Select; there should be a new save file labeled RYUKODEBUG.
  4. Go back to the CD-ROM² start screen, press Run and immediately after hold Select+Run. The debug menu should then appear.

The options are as follows:

  • VS Mode Highscore Register - Registers a score on the VS mode highscore table. The score that is registered is always 1 win count higher than a score previously on the table.
  • ST Mode Highscore Register - Registers a score on the Story mode highscore table. The score that is registered is always 1 point higher than a score previously on the table.
  • Warning Screen - Warps to the error screen displayed when no Arcade Card is inserted.
  • Sub-Game - Warps to the hidden Daikon Cut minigame.
  • Block Execution - A submenu with many functions that warp to certain screens.
    • Opening - Displays the game's opening cutscene. (NORMAL / ARCADE / HARD / EASY)
    • Ending - Displays the game's ending cutscene. (JAPANESE / ENGLISH / SPANISH)
    • Staff roll - Displays the game's credits.
    • Beer Bottle Opening - Warps to the game's beer bottle opening minigame. (1P / 2P)
    • Icicle Breaking - Warps to the game's icicle breaking minigame. (RYO / ROBERT)
    • Super Special Move Initiation - Warps to the game's super special move initiation minigame. (BONUS1 / BONUS2 / BONUS3)
    • Bonus Game Selection - Warps to the game's bonus stage selection screen.
    • Win Demo - Warps to the win screen against a certain opponent. (TODO / JACK / LEE / KING / MICKY / JOHN / BIG / KARATE / KING2)
    • Lose Demo - Warps to the lose screen against a certain opponent. (Win Demo parameter also applies here.)
  • Font Check - A sprite displaying function for each of the game's characters.
    • Left / Right - Move sprite
    • II / I - Change sprite ID
    • Run - Change amount of damage
  • PSG Test - A sound effect test menu.
  • Block Length List - Displays a list of IDs for each of the program and data blocks.
  • Pad Check - An input test button. To exit, hold I for approximately 4.5 seconds.
  • Dip Switch Settings - Enters a dip switch setting menu.

Level Select

Play through story mode and attain a high score (minimum 40,010 points). At the high score screen, enter either .SD, .LK or .AS as a name. At the story mode character select, hold II to bring up the level select and and press Up or Down. Note that you only have 10 seconds (the time limit for selecting a character) to select a level, at which point the game will start automatically.
