General
Player 1 and Player 2 (see below) each begin with 256 lives, throwing knives (press L to use), ammo (press R to use), and one other currently unknown stat.
2P Mode
Have Pro Action Replay (PAR) code 7E129801 active when starting the game from the title screen to access a functional two-player mode.
Cheats
Enter these codes when paused. If you make a mistake while entering a cheat, press R to try again.

The button combinations for all cheats except the last one (level clear) are identical to those used in Beethoven: The Ultimate Canine Caper, another game by the same developer.

Level Select
Press Select when the title card for the first stage appears. Up and Down toggle between the world and stage, A and B increase the world and stage numbers, and X and Y decrease them. Press Start to go to the selected stage.
