Unused in Japan?

We've established that it's all right to document Japan-to-North American changes if something was removed from the Japanese version, but is still present in the North American version's code. However, FF7 has an instance of the *exact opposite*: Content *added* for the NA release, which was *present* in the Japanese version, but dummied out. In particular, Yuffie's Rising Sun weapon, and the Underwater/Underwater Breath Materia. (Stuff like Ruby and Emerald Weapon weren't "dummied out" as far as I know; they were just *added*, so they don't count.) Thoughts? Should we add this? -YK 17:07, 16 July 2010 (EDT)

Bugged / Unused Affection

This FAQ mentions a few things in the love points system that are either bugged or unused. Examples include lines of dialog that are impossible to see in normal gameplay due to the sheer points required and something the author dubbed "Battle Affection" which is a hidden value that is ultimately completely worthless in the game. Possible Unused Graphics?

There are a couple of graphics I found, but I'm not quite sure if they're used or not, so I'm hoping someone could help me out with these.

First is this pair of arrows. I assumed they might be used in menus to indicate scrolling, but none of the menus I checked used them.

Second is part of this set of number graphics. Obviously there's no question that most of these are used, but the ones I'm not sure about are the ones next to the "5"; the "-" and the blank one. I checked nearly all the areas I could think of that use these graphics, but none of them used those two. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if these actually were used and I'm just forgetting where.

Lastly is one that I only found in the Japanese versions, this bottom pair of kanji. The pair on top along with the MP is used where "MP needed" is in the English version, but the English version doesn't seem to have an equivalent to the bottom pair, and I couldn't find them being used anywhere. To be fair, out of all the ones I'm talking about here, these are the ones I looked into the least, so it's possible I could've just missed them.--Sil (talk) 07:07, 30 April 2021 (UTC)
