In Great Hall, there is an exit room where you exit from Hogwarts. Farther to this room, there is another one with a lot of actors. Also in outside itself, there's a secret to the right when you exit Hogwarts, with Diffindo trees, if you go into a wall somewhere, there is another one. One of Quidditch maps also contains an actor room, and also the chamber of secrets contains it too. There is an unused inside of Hagrid's house under the accessible one, and an actor room in grand staircase(and it contains a pig for some reason).

Some debug text: "This is where Hedwig begins" at start of maps with her, "baseHarry: argghhh I'm HIT!!!!" when he is hurt, "[map, example Entryhall_hub].[actor, example bloodybaron]0Fell outa world!" when an actor dies, "LeadActor [actor, example GFemGry0] got to dest. TurningTo forever!!!" this one is unknown, "Squish" when a spider is squished, "Do Pickup" picking up a gnome, "hold up arm" following the previous one, "Throw!" throwing the gnome.

A site contains a lot of information about debug mode, with all the commands and stuff. Though it's on russian, so it needs translating. --Mashabely (talk) 13:50, 19 July 2016 (EDT)

Unused Props and actor meshes

Since this game's page is really lacking, I decided to dive a little deeper into it.

I made a full (or the fullest I could) list of all the meshes in the first 3 games. Hoo boy are there a lot of unused stuff! Though I made this list and left my personnal comments alongside the things I found, I did not look precisely into what's used and what's not. Some things are easy to point out as unused, but others I'm not sure. If you need to see the models and such, use the unreal model viewer tool and open the game folder.

Here is the link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8meVkKTbEPGcnMtWndiUkpMSzg

What I would like to do is complete the "unused models" section of this game and the other ones if we could, but I do not have that much time on my hands. Please contribute if you can! The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ltr121312 (talk • contribs)

Thanks for the notes! I'll try to add this stuff to the page soon. -Ehm (talk) 13:20, 10 October 2016 (EDT)

Silent or barely audible audio clips

In the quiditch matches, Lee Jordan comments like in the first game, but I've noticed many other files said by the other players. They are used in-game, but since Lee Jordan talks so loud, these voice clips are mostly never heard. Should I include them on the "unused sounds" page or not?

I just found these

I don't know if this is known, but I found these pictures and I think they should be documented on the wiki: http://games.gamepressure.com/game.asp?ID=1223

Hagrid and Ron visible during opening cutscene

On the other side of the fence at the Dursley's house in the opening, you can see Hagrid peeking out from the fence. If you fly over there (using debug mode), you can find both him and Ron. I'll get a screenshot, what would that go under? Oddities? --Nikki (talk) 07:31, 16 November 2017 (EST)

Can you actually see Hagrid in the introduction cutscene in normal gameplay? If yes, then we can put this into oddities, if not, this goes in something like "unaccesible areas". Look at the HP1 PC page for examples. There are a bunch of other actor rooms in the game and they can sometimes give hints as to what was planned before the maps were fully made. You can try and find the odd ones and document them here if you want. --Laenthor (talk) 13:42, 16 November 2017 (EST)

RE: Hagrid and Ron visible during opening cutscene (with Hedwig)

I noticed this also, and came to here to see if anyone else had. Can confirm that Hagrid is visible (twice), but not Ron (he is there though). https://imgur.com/a/ZW8XW Also that white thing is Hedwig after flying through the logo. It's motionless.

Hun, I never noticed Hagrid there. Will definitely add this to the page later in the future "unused areas" section (will contain actor rooms and such things that are out of the map). I'm busy with school but by the end of the week I should continue working on HP content. --Laenthor (talk) 23:21, 17 December 2017 (EST)

Harry states

goylemode: Changes Harry into Goyle, which is used after taking the Polyjuice Potion to infiltrate the Slytherin common room. swordmode: Grants Harry the sword used in the fight against the basilisk, which can be used to destroy objects and NPCs. --BreakingBenny (talk) 05:28, 26 May 2018 (EDT)

Remove the "Small Chasm" segment

I don't think the "Small Chasm" counts as an unused area. There are tons of scenarios in the game where there is extra room below a moving platform. Either way, it just seems pretty unimportant. Why should that be noted, but not the actor room not too far away from the chasm? I think that we remove that part. --Nikki (talk) 10:26, 27 May 2018 (EDT)

I don't think it's unimportant. If you found some actor rooms, we would be glad if you could document it on here. --Laenthor (talk) 22:52, 30 May 2018 (EDT)
Fly through some of the levels and look around moving platforms. Why wouldn't we add all of those, but just the dungeons one? It's more of a game design, not unused area. It's essentially the same as adding the rooms behind level-changing doors as an unused area. --DmBd-R (talk) 10:43, 3 June 2018 (EDT)

Proto build of the game

I have a development build of the game, should I put up a link or at least give it to some here, and if so how? --ILikeTheUDK (talk) 15:50, 12 August 2018 (EDT)

Please either send me a DM here, or contact me on Discord. My username there is Ehm#1583. Thanks! -Ehm (talk) 16:14, 12 August 2018 (EDT)

Ch7Gryffindor.unr is not unused (not really)

Back in 2001/2002 Coca Cola made ads with Harry Potter. There was a lot of merch. Including a HPCos PC Game CD, which I discovered and bought on ebay.

I thought that was the full-fledged game with some bonus but on the cd there were only little things like screensavers, wallpapers and a Java minigame. (The mini-game is very interesting, it uses the textures and spell icons of the "full" game, but it's built like a Super Mario game (perspective, controls, gameplay, ...)) But that's a topic for another time.

Also on the CD was an option which activates an additional level. And this level is Ch7Gryffindor.unr There are just a script behind it with activates in ABC.int [LevelEnable] Enable=True That's why Ch7Gryffindor.unr-File is included the Original "normal" version of the game.

There are no additional cutscenes and the level is activated independently of the gameplay step. For example, if I have not learned Skurge, Diffindo, and Spingify yet, I can enter the level and use those spells.

Also: On the leaked Prototype-Version of HPCoS there are textures with the filename "cocacola", who are used for Ch7Gryffindor.unr

When I have time at the weekend, I'll add screenshots of the CocaCola Harry Potter Edition. --NikiNevermind (talk) 30.11.2018

Good to know! We'll keep the level documented on the page since it's likely that a lot of players didnt have the coca cola disc to access it. Also, the cocacola archive should exist in final retail as well. -Ehm (talk) 09:29, 30 November 2018 (EST)
Ok, good to know! Just one problem, I tried creating that ABC.int file, and it didn't work. All it did was cause a small sound glitch, (although, it is just a minor annoyance). What am I doing wrong? Rockatoa, Brickticks out! Brickticks (talk) 13:06, 23 December 2018 (EST)
