"Check No. of Letters" looks like it's reporting the longest string in each array, and what might be its width in pixels. Useful for writing dialogue that can accommodate long names. 22:03, 17 June 2012 (EDT)

Ah yes, you're right! Thanks. --Peardian 22:14, 17 June 2012 (EDT)

Arceus and Shaymin remnants?

I've heard mumblings about remnants of Arceus and Shaymin in the game. If memory serves their species name is listed as DUMMY or something like that and their sprite is a Substitute doll. Also, they have stubby versions of Judgment/Seed Flare. Anyone have anything solid? --Lilfut 22:14, 27 February 2013 (EST)

//Doubt it. If it was dummied out, like you said, then their moves are probably dummied out, too. DuskShadowBrony

No, I'm pretty sure I read that the moves are there. Again, though, haven't seen much hard data. --Lilfut 10:19, 11 April 2013 (EDT)

Dummy Info

I've found a bunch of unused crap in these games. I did manage to get the dummy substitutes (I don't know about their moves), and it turns out there's also a purple Kecleon dummy and (amusingly) a water-type Kangaskhan Statue dummy that refuses to move unless you swap places with it. Too bad I didn't get any video. My AR doesn't work anymore. Also, just as an FYI, the pokemon in the Debug dungeon aren't completely useless: I almost got OHKOd by a level 92 Rattata's Sucker Punch. Doesn't work for Time?

I've tried using the debug menu on Time, but whenever I try using Ground Debug Play or Dungeon Debug Play, the thing crashes. Is there any requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to use it, or is it just plain incompatible with Time? Thepmdfangirl (talk) 10:12, 17 February 2014 (EST)

Remember that the Debug Menu works best when the background is the picture with Wigglytuff and Chatot, as stated in the description. --AquaBat (talk) 10:51, 17 February 2014 (EST)
Actually, I've encountered this problem, the Ground Debug Play (haven't tried the Dungeon Debug Play) won't load on my R4, but will load on the computer, regardless of the background. Also, are you using a rom or a real game card, because it would be interesting if the real game cards won't load it but the computer emulators will.TrainerX493 (talk) 18:37, 17 February 2014 (EST)
Real game card. Also, I've tried it with just about any background. Thepmdfangirl (talk) 17:11, 19 February 2014 (EST)

Judgment and Seed Flare exist in the game, and are functional

Here, I uploaded a video showing them off, with Action Replay codes to boot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eHdQN-G8do ExtremeSpyro (talk) 05:47, 27 June 2014 (EDT)

Fixed Debug Code

This version of the Debug Code worked for me easier than the other one did:

0202A09C A3A01000

92FFFFA8 FE7F0000

0202A09C E3A01008

D2000000 00000000

I tested it on Time with the Wigglytuff/Chatot background. Scrolling to the last option and pressing Down worked. Clicking A brought me to the debug screen. --NanoNaanoi (talk) 11:31, 4 August 2017 (EDT)

gendered text in debug room needs testing?

specifically with Persian. Went into the debug room with one of my teams in Darkness (I have a few save files) and, my character's a girl, but Persian said "Yo!" not "Hey!" curious if it might have to do with my partner, since my partner is a male Treecko. that section might need better testing, or at least a switching of the text based on circumstances Pinkolol16 (talk) 05:55, 29 January 2023 (UTC)

The idea that it's based on your partner might be true, since both of my characters are female and that's what I used to test it. I can look into this soon-ish and see what happens Laxbby (talk) 19:38, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
I tested it with a few different save files, and even took a look at the decompiled script in Sky with SkyTemple (which should hopefully be the same). It is indeed based on your partner, but it's not quite dependent on gender; the partners in this game have 3 separate sets of dialogue, which switch depending on their species. It looks like this talk type feature is what actually changes the dialogue. I just happened to have only save files with type 2 male partners and type 3 female partners. Thanks for pointing this out, I'll update the page Laxbby (talk) 20:36, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
