V.1.0.2 Patch

So, as reported in this GBAtemp thread, a 1.0.2 patch will be issued soon. I'm assuming we'd have to wait until the patch is released to mention it on the page, or can it be mentioned now that we know of it? --Team Fail (talk) 09:58, 15 September 2014 (EDT)

I have a feeling we should wait until it's released, in case it changes anything else besides what's already been announced, like minor tweaks that people wouldn't normally notice. --AquaBat (talk) 12:55, 15 September 2014 (EDT)

Demo Differences

Are there any known differences between the normal demo version and the Special Demo version besides the unlimited uses? If so, would they be worth mentioning? --AquaBat (talk) 12:55, 15 September 2014 (EDT)

I think they're the same, but the Special demo has infinite usages. Dunno about other differences. --989Nintendo898 (talk) 13:10, 23 September 2014 (EDT)

Dunno about the special demo, but I've heard one of the Smash Run Tips is blank in the normal demo. And there are differences between the Tips text in USA, European, and demo versions. --Metalman (talk) 13:32, 5 October 2014 (EDT)

I've actually seen the blank Smash Run tip in the Tips page. --SMASH SMASHES ITSELF WHEN MegaSuperab JOINS IN!! (talk) 17:16, 24 February 2016 (EST)

Ice Climbers leftover ?

While Sakurai did confirm in the Famitsu magazine that the Ice Climbers were supposed to be in the game, but taken out due to the console hardware not being able to handle the Ice Climbers without lagging (more info here), a French player found out that playing a Villager versus Dr Mario match would actually trigger the crowd to cheer up for "Popo" and "Nana" at some point, which are the name of both ice climber. He paused his game to record the audio and shared it here, and we do clearly hear something sounding like "Popo ! Nana !". Any thought or confirmation ? --Achoral (talk) 15:37, 17 September 2014 (GMT+1)

I wouldn't trust it until a reputable person reproduces the glitch or discovers the sound files. West (talk) 16:36, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
Crowd chants for the Ice Climbers apparently play when playing as the Villager vs Doctor Mario --Vinnyboiler (talk) 17:24, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
This was just posted. Gema's stream was where a lot of the unlocks were initially reported, so this is probably reliable enough by now. West (talk) 16:07, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
I'm wondering why they chant "Nana" first. --AquaBat (talk) 16:17, 22 September 2014 (EDT)
A list of crowd chants from the game files, Lucas, Snake, Fighting Alloy Team, Squirtle, Ivysaur, Pokemon Trainer and Wolf all chants as well as Ice Climbers. Think Someone could add them for me, I'm bad at formal wiki writing--Vinnyboiler (talk) 19:19, 23 September 2014 (EDT)
If you look below, you'll see that this was already mentioned. --AquaBat (talk) 19:52, 23 September 2014 (EDT)
I should mention this. The whole misconception of it having to be Dr. Mario is bull-- The supposed "NANA! POPO!" chant plays every time Villager gets the crowd cheer. I'm starting to suspect it's just his normal chant, even though it doesn't sound like "Murabito" much at all. I have the Japanese version and tried the "glitch" myself, only for it to work with each character. --Pik (talk) 6:45, 08 October 2014 (EST)
I am Japanese, and from the view point of native listener of Japanese, the chants sound like "Murabito",rather than "Popo,Nana".Indeed, they also don't sound like "Murabito" clearly. But the same can be said of "Popo,Nana".It is reasonable to think that the chants were prepared for Murabito. Actual,at Internet community in Japan, some Japanese users say that oversea people misunderstanding the Murabito's chants. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Watoku (talk • contribs)
In Brawl, the Ice Climbers' chant was a dominantly female crowd cheering "NANA!" and then a dominantly male crowd cheering "POPO!". That is exactly what Murabito's chant sounds like. Why would they do that? Devann (talk) 22:03, 9 January 2015 (EST)
The second part of this chant doesn't sound like "POPO!" to me. The first syllable seems to begin with an F sound, while the start of the last syllable resembles a T sound. --Mattrizzle (talk) 15:10, 19 January 2015 (EST)
I investigated the Japanese Wii U version and found out they use the same chant. After listening to it with a clear mind, I discovered they are actually saying 村の町長, which translates to "The Village's Mayor". See here for additional information. I removed the entry from the Wiki page.--PushDustIn (talk) 07:51, 4 February 2015 (EST)

I forgot to add it before, but I found the Ice Climber series Trophy Category in both the 3DS and the Wii U versions of the game. However, in the Wii U/ 3DS (if I remember correctly) there is no emblem for the Ice Climbers. --PushDustIn (talk) 10:58, 27 January 2015 (EST)

Debug Text Font

A couple of people on Reddit are already ripping textures in the game leading to a full look at the Classic Mode map and renders of characters that have not had full renders yet. Nothing really too interesting to add to the Wiki, though they also found a Debug Font texture sheet that might be worthwhile to add? (Here's a link to list of texture names in the files including trophy's) --Vinnyboiler (talk) 12:57, 17 September 2014 (EDT)

I didn't see anything in the textures list that we didn't already know about and the Classic map isn't really notable. The debug font is something at least but we're a long ways off from anything significant, yet. West (talk) 16:24, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
Regardless, it's at least interesting to note that the files in the game is already being leaked out, I'm pretty sure it's through RAM dumping so there's a strong chance that texture list isn't complete but Smash has always been one of those games with tons of skeletons in the closet so I'm sure we'll have enough content to start a full article when the game comes to the west.--Vinnyboiler (talk) 17:01, 17 September 2014 (EDT)

Prerelease: Tharja Trophy

Is there any proof to confirm that there was a Tharja trophy in pre-final release copies of the game, besides the ESRB leak being mostly true? I don't think we want prerelease to be based solely off of one "leak". --AquaBat (talk) 12:52, 22 September 2014 (EDT)

It seems all traces of it have been deleted, and it doesn't even have a trophy icon. Unless there's some sort of text data for it still in the game, we've got nothing. I truly do believe it was once in the game, but since no files go unused on the disk, we can't report it here-- If we were Unseen64, then maybe. Pik (talk) 19:37, 27 September 2014 (EST)

Character Chants for Cut Characters Found

Here West (talk) 14:37, 23 September 2014 (EDT)

All leftovers from Brawl. They even have the debug character (MarioD) & Fighting Alloy files!
My only question now is whether the chant for the Ice Climbers is the same as that for the Japanese version of Brawl, and whether the other cut Brawl characters have any audio in their files. That way, we can actually find out whether the Ice Climber chant ordeal actually means anything regarding Smash 4, or if it's just a Brawl leftover. Crashandcortex (talk) 15:07, 23 September 2014 (EDT)
I do not recall chants for Squirtle and Ivysaur, not to mention that the chant for Pokémon Trainer is missing. Are we sure these are leftovers or have they been modified in some form? --Sgv Sth (talk) 19:28, 24 September 2014 (EDT)
The Japanese version of Brawl has the crowd chant "Ice Climbers", so it's not taken from there. --BlastProcessing (talk) 15:45, 6 October 2014 (EDT)
Actually, it was Melee where the crowd said "Ice Climber", in Brawl it was "Nana, Popo!", but a different recording than the Smash 4 one. So you're right about it being a unique sound clip. Source: http://youtu.be/g35Tqm_w5Jc?t=1m32s --Pik (talk) 4:16, 10 October 2014 (EDT)

"Unused" DLC Stuff

Can we please wait until the game is out in the US and Europe and has some DLC before we start adding things (like menu text) that are obviously intended for DLC? I know everyone is SUPER eager to cover this game, but more often than not this "me first!!!!!" mentality makes us look like fools in the end. --BMF54123 (talk) 15:45, 24 September 2014 (EDT)

(See the edit history for Pokémon X and Y for an example.) In fact, it's not just the DLC stuff, it's also the things like the unused chants. We don't even know whether or not they're Brawl leftovers yet. --AquaBat (talk) 18:02, 24 September 2014 (EDT)

Giratina Trophy Reflection

There's an image in Giratina's trophy's reflection, but I can't make it out. Looks like a city or something. Can someone figure this out? Devann (talk) 05:30, 6 October 2014 (EDT)

Well, could just be a generic reflection texture. Kid Icarus: Uprising had a generic one, too. Robotortoise (talk) 14:45, 6 October 2014 (EDT)
Here is an image rip of its environment map texture if you wanna get a better look at it. RandomTBush (talk) 15:18, 6 October 2014 (EDT)

Unused Portrait?

In the texture dump of the game, there is a render depicting all three forms of Master Core in one image. I don't think it's used anywhere in the game. It isn't used during the fight itself as the portrait changes for each form.
Could someone verify this for me?
http://i.imgur.com/9Sz1Hoy.png Blazingflare (talk) 00:32, 8 October 2014 (EDT)

Holy shit, that's really high-res! That's probably higher resolution than the 3DS screen itself! Is it used in a trophy announcement or a "congratulations" screen? Robotortoise (talk) 01:15, 8 October 2014 (EDT)
Yep. Those character portraits are now used for amiibos, when you scan them. But what are the boss portraits there for? Were they going to make boss amiibos at some point....? Robotortoise (talk) 02:57, 14 March 2015 (EDT)
Looks like it fits right in with the other high-res renders of the characters. Game devs could be considering putting a page up for the boss characters on the website? The other characters have their full website-tier renders in the game. Devann (talk) 01:42, 8 October 2014 (EDT)
That seems likely. My only question is: why are they all in the game? Does the game actually use them? Robotortoise (talk) 06:01, 8 October 2014 (EDT)

I also noticed that there are square character portraits for every character and their recolors in the texture dump as well. If I had to make a guess, I would say they are identical to the ones that the WiiU version uses on screen. As for why they are in the 3DS' files, that's anyone's guess.
There's also unused Streetsmash textures for the various character's alts (Like Alph, Male WiiFit Trainer, Classic Wario, etc.) Streetsmash doesn't allow you to change to a character's alt on the character selection screen for it. I think maybe we should make a subpage with all of these graphics, as most are clearly unused. Here's a link to the texture dump if anyone want's to get started on it. Blazingflare (talk) 22:33, 11 October 2014 (EDT)

I could take a crack at it, but I don't know how to make subpages. Devann (talk) 00:22, 12 October 2014 (EDT)

"Smash World", etc.

This is just wild mass guess, but the Smash World, Master Orders, Crazy Orders, etc. sounds to me like DLC store clips. Just a guess, but if you think about it, it makes a little bit of sense. Devann (talk) 13:18, 11 October 2014 (EDT)

It might be used later, but since we have no idea what they are about other than speculations, I thought putting them here made sense. I didn't put "Amiibo!" since we know it's most likely going to be used later. --LuigiBlood (talk) 13:22, 11 October 2014 (EDT)
Sakurai posted a Miiverse post today, October 15th, showing the menu for these modes on the WiiU version of the game. It's under solo/games&more so I have a feeling that it is not only a WiiU exclusive mode, but not a DLC store as well.
Here is a link to Sakurai's post in question. (You may need a Miiverse account to view it) Blazingflare (talk) 03:01, 15 October 2014 (EDT)

Subpage on possible upcoming features?

Should we make a subpage for the currently unused files found in the data that could become features in the future? I've seen a few textures for a wi-fi "share" menu that lets you send replays and snapshots, but I can't actually find this menu anywhere in the game. Devann (talk) 01:28, 12 October 2014 (EDT)

Never mind, I just added them to the page, as per a conversation with einstein95. Devann (talk) 17:03, 15 October 2014 (EDT)

Mii Hats??

I don't think the Kabuto helmet was actually removed in non-Japanese versions, as I unlocked a samurai helmet which is probably the same hat. Has anyone actually looked in the game files to confirm this?

I looked into this. Both helmets are in the JPN and NA versions. I don't know a whole lot of Japanese but I think the names in the JPN release were swapped and in the NA release, it was corrected.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EVfdignfO4 << Japanese Helmets
I have both helmets unlocked in the NA version to compare off of. Jedivulcan (talk) 21:12, 12 October 2014 (EDT)

The Rayman Trophy?

Does anyone know if the trophy is still in the game? --357A (talk) 18:02, 15 October 2014 (EDT)

I believe it's a Wii U exclusive trophy. Devann (talk)
Huh, they have those, I wasn't sure, thanks for clearing up the confusion. --357A (talk) 18:12, 15 October 2014

Trophy Arrangement Anomalies

While casually browsing through the trophies I've collected, I noticed 2 trophies grouped in the "Stage" category which don't seem to appear in any stages at all through the game: the Reaper General & Diamond Golem trophies, which both seem to have been planned for the StreetPass Quest/Find Mii stage, but neither seem to appear on it at any point. Either that or it's a simple organisation error. I thought they may have appeared in the Tomodachi Collection stage as background objects, or been exclusive to the Omega version or something dumb, but I never saw them on any of the stages at all. I doubt this is significant enough to warrant adding onto the page, but it did really confuse me when I noticed it. Should this anomaly be added or left off the page?
Crashandcortex (talk) 07:01, 22 October 2014 (EDT) (EDT)

It is probably due to the fact that Find Mii has a stage but no fighter representation at all (the Mii Fighters don't count). The other Mii Plaza Streetpass games with trophies are categorized as "Other" rather than "Series related", so it's clear that they aren't considered a series for the Mii Fighters or Find Mii. --Peardian (talk) 19:33, 23 October 2014 (EDT)

Question

Sorry for the stupid question, but is Meta Knight's line "Now, my power is without rival" used? I think it was used in Brawl but if this line is used in Smash 4, I haven't heard him say it yet. -- Zerker 19:52, 1 November 2014 (EDT)

Totally unused in Brawl, and from what I can gather, that particular phrase doesn't even exist in his soundbank anymore. I know the sound he makes when using his down smash was unused in Brawl, though. Crashandcortex (talk) 01:43, 2 November 2014 (EDT)
(Hate to answer to a 2 month old talk section) It exists in the dump of Smash 3DS's sound files that RTB from VG Resource did a while back for whatever reason, maybe they added it in by mistake? Also Lucina has two lines: "You're mine!" and "My turn!". I main Lucina but I haven't heard her say these, and judging from the context I'm assuming they're meant to be quips for activating a successful counter, but either they're played at a quite volume or they don't play at all. -- Zerker 17:55, 9 January 2015 (EST)
Edit - .ogg files for convenience
-- Zerker 09:29, 10 January 2015 (EST)
TOTALLY forgot about the unused Lucina quotes! I did notice them while crawling around each character's individual soundbank, but forgot to convert them to oggs in the process, which is why they're not uploaded. Yeah, those are pretty similar to Ike's unused clips in Brawl, so assuming they're unused Counter explanations is a pretty safe bet.
And about the Meta Knight voice: I can confirm that with any character re-using their Brawl voice clips, any unused voice clips from that game are also present but unused here too (I mentioned that in the 3DS article). The only reason for that is because it'd take more effort to delete the leftover voice clips than to just leave them in without using them.
However, I did notice a few strange anomalies while listening in: Namely that Meta Knight's scream and Peach's unused exclamations have an echo effect on them which isn't there in the Brawl soundbank, further supporting that they were intended for their Final Smashes. Sonic's voice clips also have 2 of Jason Griffiths damage grunts from Brawl as well, which is really strange since none of the other veterans (Pit, Dedede, Lucario etc.) with new voices have any leftover voices. Sonic is also strange in that he has a voice file with "UK" as a suffix, but unlike the Wii Fit Trainer (the only other character with this distinction), his UK voice clips are exactly the same as the US voice clips, and I honestly have no idea why he even has a separate UK file there. It's not because of European localization, as all of the Pokemon have a single file for English voices. Crashandcortex (talk) 11:51, 10 January 2015 (EST)

Classic Mode map theme

The theme that plays on Classic Mode map screen actually lasts for around 47 seconds. I don't think it's possible to delay your character's automatic walk on the map screen. Is this song used anywhere else in the game, or is there any way to delay the character enough to hear it all? If not, then it'd be interesting to have the whole song, as most people can't hear it all; maybe 35 seconds at most, give or take. {EspyoT} 09:59, 3 November 2014 (EST)

I think it might be possible to pause while on the Classic map, but outside of the Sound Test, I do not think you can hear it anywhere else. --Sgv Sth (talk) 11:21, 3 November 2014 (EST)
You CAN pause the Classic mode path screen, and the music will play in full there, as well as in the sound test. Robotortoise (talk) 15:35, 3 February 2015 (EST)

Optionally offscreen text still rendered

Not sure whether this fits TCRF's scope or not. In Training mode, the bar on the top of the screen with combo information and such can be optionally removed, which shows it sliding off the top of the screen. However, the bar is still being updated off-screen, which can be seen during screen moving effects such as Palkia's Spacial Rend (spawn a few Master Balls to try for yourself). Is this worth mentioning or not? Miles of SmashWiki (talk) 18:37, 4 November 2014 (EST)

It would be more trouble to add code to enable or disable the bar's update. Hiding it off view is quick and easy. The fact that you can see it with Palkia is kinda funny though. Still, I'd say it doesn't fit here. {EspyoT} 07:43, 5 November 2014 (EST)

V.1.0.3 Patch

So in addition to the minor changes and stuff, the update also replaces one of the songs on N's Castle with a slightly different version. The song in question being the Battle! Reshiram / Zekrom song. I've updated the main page accordingly.
Here's a preview of both for comparison. They were both directly ripped from the games files. The differences are minor, but the guitar's pitch and intensity is different in some parts.

[1]
[2]
Additionally, a user by the name of Dantarion datamined the update and compared the 1.0.2 update to the 1.0.3 update and posted the changes, which can be found here. ---Blazingflare (talk) 04:06, 6 November 2014 (EST)

The patch also includes a different version of the Pac-Man music. -Einstein95 (talk) 23:15, 19 November 2014 (EST)

"Unused" Lucario chant (1.0.4 only)

Apparently, the 1.0.4 patch has replaced Lucario's chant with the first portion of Donkey Kong's chant. I know that it needs to go on the bugs subpage at the least, but does it need to be mentioned anywhere on the main article that it is unused now? --Sgv Sth (talk) 23:11, 19 November 2014 (EST)

Confirming that this mistake definitely occurred, and I have no idea why!
Chances are another patch will be announced at some stage to fix this, but if subsequent patches don't do anything to resolve the problem, I'd say it could probably be documented in a similar fashion to the Ice Climbers taunt. For now though it'd probably be for the better if we left it out. Crashandcortex (talk) 02:24, 20 November 2014 (EST)

Ehhh unless it's region specific I'm going to have to joss this. In my NTSC version, the sound clip sounds a bit similar but is ultimately different from Donkey Kong's. Devann (talk) 04:06, 20 November 2014 (EST)

Well, without looking into the data, would you at least agree that it is a syllable or two short for the word "Lucario" or not? I ask since I feel that it is definitely something different than what it was before. --Sgv Sth (talk) 23:14, 21 November 2014 (EST)

Unused Mii Portraits?

I found this on page 292 of the official Prima Strategy Guide [sorry for the crappy quality]:

http://i.imgur.com/cjBJBCY.jpg

Miis were going to have their portraits individually? Those portraits are still in the rom texture data that was dumped, and I could add it to the page if you think it's worthy The preceding unsigned comment was added by Devann (talk • contribs)

Yeah, that's interesting! Add it, definitely! Not sure who edited this though. You forgot to sign your username :P Robotortoise (talk) 17:58, 26 December 2014 (EST)

Sorry about that. I got excited Devann (talk) 18:49, 26 December 2014 (EST)

Model Quality Trick?

Anyone noticed that the game actually lowers the character models while the game is in play and switches them to higher polygon counts when the game is paused? I think it's a nice trick. --Mspeter97 (talk) 12:16, 28 December 2014 (EST)

They do that to reduce the load, naturally. It's more noticeable if you go into Training mode, and then change the speed to anything that makes you hold the R button. Devann (talk) 15:29, 28 December 2014 (EST)

Doesn't Mario Kart 7 do a similar trick with other races using lower poly models? And I'm sure that's why SSB3DS has such crud quality music and sound effects: Less processing for 60 FPS. Robotortoise (talk) 20:35, 28 December 2014 (EST)
Mario Kart goes one step further by not loading any animations for the other racers. I wonder if this trick is still in use when playing with a New 3DS... --Mspeter97 (talk) 03:51, 2 January 2015 (EST)
Just checked. Yep, it is. Stomped Goomba (talk) 18:48, 19 March 2015 (EDT)
It wouldn't make any difference to play MK on the New 3DS, the game hasn't been optimized for it. WhoIAm (talk) 19:35, 19 March 2015 (EDT)
Yeah, aside from Monster Hunter 4, I don't think any game actually loads anything different for the New 3DS, aside from amiibo support. Robotortoise (talk) 22:37, 19 March 2015 (EDT)

Any more dumps?

Are there any more dumps of the game like the texture dumps above, but say, for music or palettes, or code? I'd like to look into more and post whatever I can find. Devann (talk) 03:19, 3 January 2015 (EST)

Here's the sfx: www.hcs64.com/mboard/forum.php?showthread=38366 Originally the music was somehwere, but....not sure what happened to it. Robotortoise (talk) 22:24, 9 January 2015 (EST)

Duck Hunt, Mr. Game and Watch, Villager, and Samus all aren't on the sound test

Why? Anyone have any idea? It seems strange to me. Robotortoise (talk) 15:51, 10 January 2015 (EST)

...Because they don't have voice clips, since they don't speak? --AquaBat (talk) 17:10, 10 January 2015 (EST)
But R.O.B. has one. Robotortoise (talk) 17:44, 10 January 2015 (EST)
It's the way the files are organised: Characters like Samus, Villager, Mega Man etc. all use sound effects for their attacks/actions and have either none or comparatively few voices (Samus only has one file in "snd_vc_Samus": her star KO scream, which debatedly kind of is a voice), which makes their inclusion in a voice tester... totally pointless.
R.O.B. is an anomaly in that a lot of its sounds are actually recognized as voices rather as sound effects, and he was treated in the same way in Brawl too, which is the only reason he's listed there: technically R.O.B. has plenty of voice files, and the Sound Test only includes voice files and not sound effects. However, Samus WAS listed in the Sound Test shown during the E3 2014 trailer, so it stands to reason that like in the previous games, sound effects were also included earlier on. That detail could go in a pre-release article if one so desires. Crashandcortex (talk) 00:50, 11 January 2015 (EST)

Super Mushroom SFX

Is the Super Mushroom sound effect just packed incorrectly in the Super Smash Bros. 3DS demo, or perhaps could it originally been silent? Also, are there any other major differences between the demo and the final? Robotortoise (talk) 15:54, 10 January 2015 (EST)

Unused Text

Hey, I added a bunch of unused text to the wiki. I opted to include as much information as possible, so it's not in the more readable state. Feel free to edit it to make it more presentable. All the text comes from the game's ROM. Please let me know if you have any questions. --PushDustIn (talk) 07:03, 19 January 2015 (EST)

V.1.0.5 Patch

When I booted the 1.0.5 patch, I'm pretty sure it displayed some of the additional SD card information text listed under DLC. Could someone confirm/deny this? --Sme23 (talk) 13:04, 13 February 2015 (EST)

Not had this game, but can think in a possible new character DLC soon? -Hong Meiling
It's actually just used to create amiibo data for the New 3DS, but the text is used regardless. -Sme23

Chrom's Line in unused voice clips

I have to confirm that Chrom's quote "My strength is yours!" is actually used in both version of SSB4. It is triggered if you use Robin's Final Smash (regardless if it hits or not) and then get the victory pose where Chrom stands besides Robin. In the Wii U-version of the game, Chrom even would look to the camera when saying the line, before resuming to gaze elsewhere like he'd do usually when Robin would say his usual quote "It seems our fates are joined." --Kaabisteru (talk) 18:04, 17 February 2015 (EET)

Whelp, you're right about that! I was just browsing through the soundbank and had never heard the quote at any stage when playing (and I've played a lot!), so knowing it is used can scratch 1 unused clip off the page! Those are some really specific circumstances to get it to play though! o.0 Crashandcortex (talk) 11:25, 17 February 2015 (EST)

A bit of speculation

I think the unused menu icon might have been an early version or a scrapped one for notifications, because it looks similar to the option, and you are able to hover over it in the wii u version. I know, it's a dumb theory, but who knows? Stomped Goomba (talk) 15:12, 28 February 2015 (EST)

Smash Run unused tutorial pic is used in another place + Region character names

The section with the unused Smash Run tutorial pictures has a picture that is used in another place. Specifically the picture with a bland image of four players standing on Battlefield, it is used in the first part of the Spectator Mode tutorial.

Also, the current names of characters in other regions has the PAL version for the French names. The NTSC version has some different french names as seen here. Can someone confirm? --Flameduck (talk) 09:50, 28 March 2015 (EDT)

A Reddit User says the patch also lists Roy, Ryu and Lucas file names, along with their victory fanfare, and includes a playable Street Fighter 2's Ryu theme. Any confirmation to this or is it a fake ? -Achoral (talk) 18:07, 15 April 2015 (GMT+1)

I would also appreciate a confirmation, it seems I'm the only one who has decrypted 1.06 for some reason. The files are definitely there though, I guarantee it. --Shinyquagsire23 (talk) 13:22, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
I had a quick check and can confirm that 2 files with Ryu's name, 1 with Lucas and, another with Roy are there, I'll trust Shinyquagsire23 with the contents inside the files. --Vinnyboiler (talk) 15:50, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
Hey, if someone could add it to the article that'd be great! Preferably with an explanation of where they're found, and proper uploads. A lot of people are wondering about it. --Pik (talk) 18:02, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
Future DLC is apparently not allowed for discussion on the main page. So nope. --Jetfire77 (talk) 19:25, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
Alright. Yeah, makes sense in retrospect since it isn't "unused". Plus, the TCRF twitter just reassured people that those files are in fact in the game. --Pik (talk) 19:33, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
Fuck that, put it on the page. If it's in the game and unused, it's on the wiki. Who came up with that crap? --Xk-sig.png Xkeeper (talk) 19:36, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
Well, certainly I didn't come up with it. I edited the page and it was undone a few seconds later. --Jetfire77 (talk) 19:40, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
Handled this in IRC, put it back, thx --Xk-sig.png Xkeeper (talk) 19:41, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
If it's going to be up it might as well be written somewhat decently. We have a small list of file additions that aren't mentioned. DangItBobby (talk) 19:49, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
Good news! You can make the writing better yourself. God bless wikis --Xk-sig.png Xkeeper (talk) 19:50, 15 April 2015 (EDT)
I just added the two Kirby related tracks to the Unused DLC Info section. I'm still not sure about adding Roy and Lucas's victory themes, since they're just the victory themes of their respective series. --Barrowsx (talk) 21:43, 16 April 2015 (EDT)

I already asked Shinyquagsire23 (talk), but I'll ask here too. Can someone check the emblem/ character database in the 3DS? Even checking the original version of the files might have something interesting (I haven't seen the contents of those files yet). They were scrambled in the Wii U version, so Nintendo is definitely taking precaution, but if they messed up once in the 3DS version they might have messed up again. --PushDustIn (talk) 23:15, 15 April 2015 (EDT)

In light of the recent file discoveries in the latest update, I should point out an oddity that has started to occur in the 3DS version. When you go up against Kirby characters in Classic mode, there is now a possibility that the game will load Battlefield instead of Dream Land. I assume the game is trying to load this planned Kirby stage, but defaults to Battlefield as no data for the stage exists yet. --BSonirachi (talk) 15:06, 20 April 2015 (EDT)

Did anyone decrypted 1.1.0 to find the unused files in this version?

I need to know if anyone decrypted this version and then find the unused files that is related to dlc (like roy, lucas and ryu victory theme music files was found in files of 1.0.6). --Andreepika11233 (talk) 09:39, 31 July 2015 (EDT)

The separate Mii Fighter portraits are used

The separate Mii Fighter CSS portraits are used in the Online Replay Search. Please change the name of the section (as there is still some unseen parts of them) or remove it completely. Starz Lol (talk) 16:31, 22 August 2015 (EDT)

The portraits themselves might be used in the replay functionality but the actual use of them on the character selection screen is still unused. On top of that, the only time they're actually seen is in the tiny preview when selecting of which character to look replays up. I am heavily opposed to this section being removed from the article; it and the pictures should remain, at least reword it? Devann (talk) 02:16, 23 August 2015 (EDT)

Regional Revision Differences should be All-Inclusive

I don't believe we should only have certain voice clips of the announcer saying different names from different regions. We should have all clips of the announcer's different namecalls from all regions, including Duck Hunt Duo, and all the different languages from the European release.

Alternate Models c01

Are these used? It's an alternate version of the Golden Interior trophy found in data\model\figure\Goldenstyle\body\c01 where the trophy base is part of the model and it's at an angle.
