Forgive me for being a noob, but how do you get these rooms to be playable in-game? There are some I've gotten to with the Map Select code, but what about the others? WhoIAm 17:11, 31 October 2012 (EDT)

You either have to use exit modifiers AR codes listed here or you have to modify the map select menu on the ISO to display more unused room groups. --Cuber456 17:33, 31 October 2012 (EDT)

To play the unused rooms toughest, uses the files here with GCR 1.0.

Thanks for the tips. I found the AR codes on the Wiki, but they are quite cumbersome to enter individually; also how do you add those rooms to the map select using Dark Linkaël's files? Do you literally patch the game? I can't quite figure it out; I extracted the files, "rebuilt" them into an ISO, and the game looks like Wind Waker- but doesn't load in Dolphin. (Do I need to use a physical console?) WhoIAm 22:45, 31 October 2012 (EDT)

All of this can be done in dolphin but you could also play this on a physical console if you wanted. Here is what I did personally to get this to work. Using GCR, extract the WHOLE ISO somewhere. This translates into Image -> open within GCR. Once it is open, look at the right side under "structure". Right click "root" and extract the ISO where you want. Once it is extracted, take all the folders and replace the ones within the extracted ISO. Go back into GCR and select Options -> Do not use game.toc. Then Root -> open and open up the root file of the extracted ISO. Do Root -> Save and then Root -> rebuild. You should be able to load this new ISO within dolphin, or a real console. Let me know if that helps. --Cuber456 23:40, 31 October 2012 (EDT)

I got it to work! Cuber, I followed your steps, and it worked. It took me a while to realize that I had to manually replace individual files, rather than simply copying the folders, and it no longer hangs. Excellent work DarkLinkael- you even translated the menu into English by default! WhoIAm 15:00, 1 November 2012 (EDT)

Thank you, it was pretty hard work for the final result. Several afternoons each complete unused rooms only! Then, thank you for participating in complement texts on unused rooms. For the translation, it is GlitterBerri to do thanks. --Dark Linkaël 06:27, 2 November 2012 (EDT)

Possibly more unused rooms?

Zeldawiki's "hack" page for WW lists many of the known unused areas, but I noticed a few entries there I never saw before. It's easy to tell which ones on the site, they have "???" as their description (I went through and revised the section). I can't get them to load either. What are they? WhoIAm 20:04, 16 April 2013 (EDT)

All the unused rooms are present on TCRF, there is no other. The last rooms that were completely unknown are revealed on TCRF there are already more than a year.

I think Dark Linkaël is correct. I quickly to a look at the BMD/BDL models for the groups that are in question(the ones with ??? on the ZeldaWiki list). What they appear to be is listed below.
  • kinMB = miniboss room for forbidden forest
  • M2tower = miniboss room for forsaken fortress
  • Mjtower = a room inside the forsaken fortress
  • Name = file select menu (yeah it is a room too)
  • sea_T = a version of Outset Island that is used for the title screen (I think)
All of these groups are used. As to why the AR codes cannot load them is another matter with many possible reasons. At one time Cave08 also had "???" on that page. I tried using an AR code to get to Cave08 while walking into one house on Outset Island and the game crashed. I tried the same house a few more times and the game still crashed. Then I tried a different house and Cave08 loaded. I have no idea why Cave08 decided to load when entering a different house but it honestly isn't worth figuring out as far as I can tell and the same goes for the rest of the "???" on that page. If you wanted to load the groups listed above then it would just be easier to use the AR code for the map select and load them from there. --Cuber456 19:26, 28 April 2013 (EDT)

Splitting the Unused Rooms Page Into Multiple Pages

So here is something I am starting to notice and I am sure people will agree. There is a TON of info on this page about the unused rooms left in the game. There is so much info at once that I feel that it might be overwhelming for anybody who considers reading the page. Well that and the wiki throws a warning every time the page is going to be edited. Considering that some sections of this page actually need better descriptions which would make the page even longer, we should consider breaking the page into 4 sub pages. This is how I imagine it:

Main WW Page:

  • Map Select
  • Unused Rooms --------------------->Unused Rooms Subpage
  • Unused Textures and Models

Unused Rooms Subpage:

  • Page One (A_nami through I_SubAN)
  • Page Two (I_TestM through K_Testd)
  • Page Three (K_Teste through Ojhous2)
  • Page Four (PShip2 through VrTest)

In words, clicking the Unused Rooms section on the Main WW Page will bring up the Unused Rooms Subpage where there are 4 Subpages listed. Each page will contain about(give or take) 14 groups in ABC order. So Page One will display the groups A_nami through I_SubAN, Page Two will display I_TestM through K_Testd and so on. The "differences section" can be split and put on Page # according to what group it is describing and relevant to. Anybody agree or disagree or have a better approach than what I have listed? --Cuber456 19:26, 28 April 2013 (EDT)
