Quest for Glory: So You Want to Be a Hero is credited as a genre-defining game due its mixture of RPG and adventure elements. It sold so well that a remake was created a few years later, with vastly improved visuals. Co-creator Corey Cole would later note the remake cost almost as much to make as an original VGA adventure game.
Shown here is a background that was used as part of the ending in the original game, but was discarded in spite of being updated for a higher color depth.
