Star Fox is a game where you control an anthropomorphic fox realizing his dream of traveling into unknown space to shoot paper airplanes and fight a giant slot machine.
Pictured is an early prototype named after an old game Argonaut worked on. At this point, the iconic characters are not here, the barrel roll is not implemented, and the level design is very different. Sector X is fairly complete, with waves of enemies, many of which made it into the final. A few of the enemy types resemble bizarre insects. The view of Corneria is much darker. It ends with a much faster and more resilient version of the Rock Crusher boss from the final game.
