Mega Man for DOS started out as an after-work passion project for Stephen Rozner. Eventually, it turned into an officially licensed Capcom game. Because the game had no input from Capcom, it has little to do with the NES and Game Boy titles. It even went in its own direction with three original Robot Masters.
Seen here are the eight possible speeds a conveyor could run at, but only one (third from bottom) actually gets used in the game.
