In The Adventures of Star Saver, more or less based on a game that was released four years prior, in 1987, called Miracle Ropit's Adventure in 2100 for the Famicom in Japan only, the player is equipped with a Mech and has to fight against aliens and other strange enemies to rescue their sibling.

Regional Differences

There are two versions of the game: The first is the Japanese version, known as Rubble Saver. The second is the internationally released version, known as The Adventures of Star Saver.

Player Character's Gender

In the Japanese game, you play as the girl trying to save your brother.

In the international version, you play as the guy instead, trying to save your sister.

The name of the player is Max in both games, as the status bar would have you believe.

If you wait long enough, the Japanese version will start into the first level automatically.

The international version will instead reset itself, showing the intro cinematics again.
