Snake Pit is a snake whipping game.

Revision Differences

The game was originally release before Bally bought Sente Technologies in May 1984. Slight changes were made to game.

  • Copyright byline was changed, the serial number placement was moved down sixteen pixels, and gold sparkles were removed from title screen.
  • Level select screen was added for the Bally Sente release.

Unused Music

Level Select


Only two full loops are heard at the level select screen before the game starts up automatically. When the loop repeats the pitch changes with it. A similar effect was use with the first level music.

Unused Graphics

Located at the start of spit-gr0.bin are tiles from the Sente Technologies title screen. The first set are still seen on the Bally Sente release on the boot-up screen.
