Hi, I'm Samuel! Just here to contribute my part to TCRF, be it in the form of small additions to existing articles, or the creation of articles.

Jetpack Joyride (iOS)

The password to decrypt Jetpack Joyride's assets.zip archive is f53638e30aba9d878d809543a909602c

I have personally tested this on the most current version and I can safely say that it works. Anyone who doubts my word will simply have to try it themselves...

Fruit Ninja: Puss In Boots (iOS)

Assets.zip is unencrypted.

Contains valid Win32 .exe files the look to be for debugging and testing

Sega Master System prototype M404 BIOS

(Copy-pasted from SMS Power!)

This BIOS was dumped from a prototype Master System originally sent to Sega of America. Its functionality is quite different from any other BIOS:

  • It has a much more impressive bumper screen than other non-Japanese BIOSes
  • It checks for the string "COPYRIGHTSEGA" at offset $7fe0
  • It checks for the string "COPYRIGHT SEGA" at offset $7fe0
  • It checks if the VBlank handler at offset $0038 matches the code jp $00c8
  • It checks on all three slots, the same as other BIOSes
  • It does not do any region checking

None of this functionality interferes with the operation of other BIOSes' checks of the header at $7ff0, which may or may not have been deliberate.

Only two games are known to boot with this BIOS: the Japanese version of Fantasy Zone, and Choplifter. These are known to be two of the earliest games developed for the Master System.

Prototype BIOS v1.0 (1986)

This BIOS is found in some prototype/demonstration Master System consoles and seems to be exactly the same as the 1.3 BIOS but lacks:

  • Animation
  • Sound
  • Snail Maze game
  • Instruction screen when no game is found (instead, just a flashing "?" appears).
