Zombiville

A few notes for improving the page:

  • The prerelease and bugs pages go on their own namespaces, not as subpages.
  • CUT_SCN can just mean a cutscene, that plays during any point in the game.
  • It seems like the Cut/Incomplete Interactions are bugs in of themselves and probably would be best used for the bugs page.
  • The executable has all kinds of routine names in it for whatever reason. Maybe those might be useful.
  • There's a bit of text used for some debugger at 0xA09EC in ZOMB.EXE:
FREE_OBJECT %s
character_record 0x%08x %s
gfx_record 0x%08x %s %s
object 0x%08x %s
  • Text for what may be an editor is in ZOMB.EXE at 0x97530 and goes up to 0x978B9.

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by my page! I am still editing this entry with more contents so it's still a WIP. So I'm looking into your note,
Namespaces
When you say namespaces, I am not sure of what you mean instead of using subpages, because I'm following this guide: https://tcrf.net/Help:Contents/Editing_Help#Sub-Pages and it said to use subpages to prevent cluttering the main page.
I am using this entry as an example: https://tcrf.net/Back_to_the_Future:_The_Game_(Windows).
Since it's using subpages.
The only thing I found for namespaces is this https://tcrf.net/Template:Namespace_detect and I'm not sure of its usage, which is why I was resorting to subpages.
May you please tell me of how to use these namespaces?
CUT-SCN
I am aware of CUT-SCN being cutscenes. The way how this game does cutscenes is by using a sprite as a background and then placing an animation on top of it.
What would you like me to do for this CUT-SCN component in particular?
Cut/Incomplete Interactions
When I looked back at this section, I am lead to believe that they're not bugs since by re-interacting with those environments, the cursor interacts with some parts by telling the player that something can be interacted with. (By changing the cursor from static to animated).
(I.e., The "green man" is definitive a cut interaction because the cursor is moved below (where the speech options would be), then moves the cursor back.)
Debugger
I am not proficient with in this area as of yet. May I credit you for this information that you've pointed out to me?

Late response but you never got one:
Namespaces
'Namespaces' refers to specific prefixes for a page. In this case CounterDiving was saying that bugs subpage should instead be Bugs:Zombieville (1997) as it is now. See Help:Namespaces for further information. The supported namespaces are Proto, Prerelease, Development, Bugs, and Notes and rules for them specifically can be found here.

This is now resolved. Thank you for looking out for us, Hawk! --Contact The Jeff (talk) 14:10, 29 November 2022 (UTC)
