Terranigma page

Hello, I just wanted to explain why I've made some changes to the Terranigma page. The "banners at the top" you referred to automatically categorize the page into the appropriate languages at the following page: Category:Articles needing translation. This allows translators to easily find pages that have text in want of translation and as such, it is in our rules and guidelines that pages like this be tagged to allow them to be more easily found.

As for the tables, I'm attempting to bring them more into what the ones on the Paper Mario page look like, because it improves readability. If you add any additional tables to the page, please use the Paper Mario page as a referece for how to format them.

I appreciate your contributions to the Terranigma page, and I hope that you will continue to expand it! Welcome to TCRF!

Conduct and civility

Hello again,

I just want to let you know that your tone towards me and my edits on the Terranigma page have been hostile and rude. I've tried to be civil, but your most recent comments were over the line. If you continue to engage in this manner, you will be temporarily blocked from the wiki.

To respond to some of your complaints, I took great care to preserve the content of the tables when I converted them. All I can think that may have happened is that you attempted to edit a page at the same time I did, and an edit conflict occured. The wiki would've given you a warning and asked you to re-do your edits. If you clicked through that page without reading or changing anything, then your edits would've been lost.

Second, we strive to maintain a high-quality throughout the wiki, which means means not only presenting information in an easy-to-read format, but to also try to keep our pages' layouts as similar to one another as possible. I have reverted your reverts of my recent edits. Please do not undo them. You are free to continue to add content to the Terranigma page, and I encourage you to do so, but only after reading our various rules and guidelines.

Again, I appreciate your recent contributions to the page, but the attitude in which you've done so is not acceptable. I hope you will continue to edit and contribute to the wiki in a more congenial manner.

Nice deflection about you (still) removing stuff as I add it. I even waited before adding more content and then the "formatting" edits that came like one day later you keep deleting text, shuffling languages around and removing columns, and not even adding proper line breaks, you know, like, "formatting" stuff. The editing conflict came up once in the very beginning, I appreciate your impromptu mansplaining light course about how to edit wikis for a total cavewoman who has yet to know how MediaWiki works.
Some text, and by that I mean like 25 entries in an already out of order list, was lost and after like 11 revisions, I don't feel like reverting all of that and trying to play cat and mouse with missing entries. The order of questions in the page is all wrong due to you deciding they must be put out of order depending on the answers rather than their actual order, which makes for an extra layer of bullshit in matching questions between languages. Yet I put up with that too (you can't tell? must be your sense of priorities). I re-translated some entries 3 times already because of your apparent vendetta with the poor things. And for all the talk about "respect", you sure don't mind blanket undoing edits. Doesn't go both ways, huh? How welcoming to newcomers.
If that's the way how it is, and I see you already are bringing in the help of admins (clearly approving and enabling you, no less, so I guess that's how things run here) to assert your "dominance", then let that temporary block be a permanent one. "Format" that page to your heart's content, it's all yours.
I do appreciate the early warning about how much my contributions would be valued here before I committed more than what I would be comfortable with disappearing in the nether, if I felt like that I can always write on Notepad huge paragraphs and exit without saving.

First of all, Bast is an admin on the site, but by no means does that mean he's automatically immune from criticism. I will say he could have taken more care in preserving your translations. Again, since you are a new user (who's only been here for two days), we have no idea what formatting you were trying out and only Bast was really paying close attention to it. Also, you complained about this issue to no other admins via their talk pages and made little effort in explaining what you found objectionable about his edits until now. Also, I'd like to know how he's mansplaining. Is it the fact he constantly tried editing either while you were editing or after you edited, with edit descriptions that came off more as sanctimonious as he's edited here longer than you?
I will say that we can occasionally be a bit like that sometimes, but usually toward less experienced editors. You seem to be fairly experienced, honestly, but seemed to be removed parts of tables for not much reason (particularly the Translation header and having green text for the translations). I will say the way the tables are formatted is indeed quite sloppy, as the texts are sometimes cut off due to spacing limitations. I have fixed this by having a forced width to the boxes, though I would like to see anyone try formatting it nicer while keeping these boxes consistently sized. You can use the history link on the top bar to navigate through the edits. That said, Bast should have also made sure the translations were actually visible when formatting it his way. --From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 23:54, 30 October 2017 (EDT)
