User talk:WarioBarker/Archive 2
My archive for messages from 2013-16. This probably won't be edited too often, for obvious reasons. -WarioBarker (talk) 06:45, 18 June 2017 (EDT)

Clear Tags
Please don't remove clear tags from underneath left-aligned images. It looks really bad when the following section gets sucked up against the side of the image on wide resolutions, and I would much rather have extra whitespace than completely broken horizontal alignment. --BMF54123 03:48, 7 January 2013 (EST)
- UPDATE: Actually, if you notice articles with excessive whitespace near the bob, change the {{clear}} to {{clear|left}} (thanks, Vague Rant!). --BMF54123 03:52, 7 January 2013 (EST)
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini Land Mayhem
On the content to expand page, you said there were various unused things in this game, how do you know/ any more information? --Hiccup 11:33, 15 April 2013 (EDT)
- Sorry, but I didn't add that info (per my Special:Contributions, my first edit to that page was on May 8, 2012 and said info was already there). Looking at the edit history, the person you should ask is AttackedbyGlitch, who added that info back on February 29, 2012. -WarioBarker 22:41, 15 April 2013 (EDT)
- Sorry, don't know how I made that mistake. --Hiccup 02:47, 16 April 2013 (EDT)
Tags
Is there a reason you are making pointless edits just to change tags from yes to y in bobscreens? Just curious... -nensondubois 17:25, 25 May 2013 (EDT)
- ... I've very rarely, if ever, edited just to change those tags. Changing those tags is just something I do while I edit other parts of the page. -WarioBarker 21:42, 25 May 2013 (EDT)
... NBA 3 on 3 Bryant article is a good example... -nensondubois 15:46, 26 May 2013 (EDT)
- No, actually, it isn't. The one edit I've made to that page not only did that, but more importantly fixed the date tag (a leading 0 on the back end puts a leading 0 on the front end as well) and added links to Super Game Boy and Game Genie. -WarioBarker 01:36, 27 May 2013 (EDT)
Bad Rats: the Rats' revenge
Thanks for cleaning up the article. Much appreciated. *Heran Bago 04:04, 2 August 2013 (EDT)

The KIU page
I appreciate your fixing it up, but why did you shift the AR Card scan image to the left? I put it on the right to sort of align it, so the text wasn't overshadowed by the two pictures stacked above it. --AquaBat 21:30, 14 August 2013 (EDT)

As it turned out, I didn't get any messages on my talk page this year.

Pokémon Red and Blue/Version Differences URLs
I'd like to know why you replaced https by http on each youtube link ? Thank you in advance. --Froggy25 (talk) 17:34, 28 March 2015 (EDT)
- "https" results in the link having a padlock symbol next to it, whereas "http" doesn't. To be honest, I'm not sure what the overall difference is myself, but I do know some sites don't like it if YouTube embeds try to use "https". -WarioBarker (talk) 14:08, 29 March 2015 (EDT)
Dude.
I think you would have to go about the cleanup on the prototype page again shortly after this message, I was busy editing it and when I am going to submit the edit I got an edit conflict. --ZeroTheEro (talk) 03:43, 10 April 2015 (EDT)
- Done. Also cleaned up a few things in Proto:Castlevania Bloodlines that I missed the first time around. -WarioBarker (talk) 04:51, 10 April 2015 (EDT)

Mistakes in article cleanup
In your recent edits to the Lunar: Eternal Blue page, I noticed that you "fixed" several "errors" that were not incorrect. In particular:
- Spaces should precede and follow an en dash (–), while an em dash (—) is usually flush with the text. An en dash should never be flush with the text. ("Just be glad they didn't pull a Popful Mail again and make the game way harder – oh wait, they did.")
- When a sentence is introduced by a phrase offset with a colon, it is acceptable (though not required) for the part after the colon to begin with a capital letter if it constitutes a complete sentence. ("The US version fixes a game-ending glitch: In the first boss fight...")
- "Upper case" and "lower case" are correct as they are; they needn't be hyphenated.
Since you make a very large number of edits of this sort, I think you should be careful that you really are enforcing proper grammatical rules.
Additionally, many of your edits are alterations to subjective elements of style (such as certain uses of a semicolon vs. a colon) or to things that don't even affect the formatting of the page and are essentially a waste of your time (capitalizing the names of templates). While I appreciate your work and the legitimate, helpful changes you do make, like ensuring consistent bolding throughout the article, I personally think it's disrespectful to trample over others' stylistic decisions without good reason. It's not my place to tell you what to do, but could I ask you as a fellow user to please try to be a little more considerate about your edits to others' articles? Supper (talk) 22:25, 7 November 2016 (EST)
- Thank you for letting me know about this. It's not my intention to trample on others' stylistic decisions, and I apologize for the times I have. Admittedly, my enthusiasm to help sometimes goes overboard and into minutia (or simply gets grammatically incorrect), and I appreciate being corrected on the matter. -WarioBarker (talk) 02:46, 8 November 2016 (EST)
